was searching under this number to see if they were an actual contractor. We scheduled roof snow removal with them on 2/10/24, the canceled, rescheduled 2/12. They texted that they were outside of our home but no one was in our driveway or in the street. When probed about their location, they didn't answer but instead said "I've been out here an hour and no one is home." The time between text messages 12:01 to 12:07. Even if you're in a different time zone or reading off of 24 hour time, 6 minutes is still 6 minutes. We rescheduled on 2/12 for today 2/14/2024 and the contractor, supposedly two different employees, still didn't show up. This morning 2/14/2024, my father's credit card was charged for services not provided. We called Angi List and it sounded like a woman from a call center in India. She offered us "$100 Angi List Credit" because they don't do refunds but when pressed. Supposedly, they said that the refund would come directly back to the card in 3-5 days.

This number above was associated with and alongside his name, purported to be a handyman assigned by Angi's List to my project. I told sales lady who called to "verify" job (who spoke w/ LOT of static with very bad English) that I could not find any record of his work on their website. The main Angi website on laptop (NOT the phone app) does not list his name under its alphabetized listing for handyman. But she could see it at her "end" on the phone app--she only uses phone app. She gave me a 401 number used by supposedly "Angi" for this handyman, based in Providence, RI. Sales lady says he's new and the website was not updated with his name yet, yet he has done some work to deserve a 4 Star rating?? Canceled my Angi job right then and there as it was such a hassle to understand her and all the hoops to obtain a qualified handyman. The Angi website is wholly different than the phone app itself. AND I was charged too, in "pending charges" yet supposedly canceled. Let's see if they continue to charge.
