Is this the official website? Spot domains that imitate a brand
Many scams use domains that are almost identical to the real ones: “paypa1.com”, “amazon-security.com” or “amazon.top”. Paste the domain or the link and we compare it with the official domains of the brands and public bodies that are impersonated most. The check runs in your browser.
How to use it
- Copy the link from the message or type the domain (the part after https:// and before the first /).
- Press “Check the domain”. We compare it with the official domains of banks, delivery companies, public bodies and big online shops.
- If it looks like a brand but is not its domain, do not open it or give your details: go to the brand's website by typing the address yourself.

What it covers
Compares with the official domains of the brands and public bodies impersonated most in your country (banks, delivery companies, tax and traffic authorities, mobile carriers) and of the big international brands (Amazon, PayPal, Apple, Google, Microsoft, WhatsApp, Netflix…). If a brand is not on the list, the result will be “it does not look like any known brand”.
The check runs entirely in your browser: the domain is not sent to NoCall or anyone else. We only record that a check was run and its general result (official, lookalike or unknown).
Frequently asked questions
How do I tell the official website from a fake one?
Look at the whole domain, read leftwards from the first “/”. The real website is the last part: in “paypal.com.secure-login.top” the website is “secure-login.top”, not PayPal.
It says it does not look like any brand. Is it safe, then?
Not necessarily. We only compare with the brands that are impersonated most. A fake shop with an invented name will not look like any of them. For shops, use “Is this website legit?”.
What are domains with “xn--”?
It is the technical form of domains with letters from other alphabets or with accents. Some Cyrillic or Greek letters look exactly like Latin ones, and scammers use that to create domains that look identical to a bank's.
The brand uses another domain and it shows as “lookalike” here. Why?
We only know each brand's main official domains. If a brand uses a domain we do not have, we will mark it as a lookalike. If in doubt, go in through the brand's official app or website.
