What is NoCall?

NoCall is a community-driven database of spam calls in Australia. Look up any phone number instantly to find out who is calling, or block unwanted calls and SMS with the free app. Reports are contributed by the community in real time, with no tracking and no sign-up.

Who is calling me from this number? How to look it up

Got a call from an unknown number? Type it into the NoCall search to see who it belongs to according to community reports: a company, a sales call, a scam or a spam call, and which area or country it comes from based on its area code. It works with landlines and mobile numbers, national and international.

  1. Search the number

Type the full phone number, with or without the international prefix, or the name of the company you think is calling.

  2. Check the reports

See how many people reported it, what kind of call it is and the community's comments. The comments often say which company is behind it.

  3. Block it or report it

If it is spam, block it with the free NoCall app or report it to warn other people.

NoCall never shows personal data about private individuals, only what the community reported about each number.

Frequently asked questions

How can I find out who is calling me?
Type the number into the NoCall search. You will see the community reports, the type of call (spam, sales, scam or legitimate) and comments from other people it has called. With the NoCall app you can identify and block spam calls before you answer.
How do I find out who a phone number belongs to?
Look the number up on NoCall: the community's reports and comments usually say which company or service is behind it and whether it can be trusted. NoCall does not show personal data about private individuals; if nobody has reported it yet, you can be the first.
Is there a list of spam phone numbers?
Yes. NoCall's spam list gathers the numbers most reported by the community in your country, with the type of call and the date of the latest report. It updates in real time with every new report.
Is NoCall free?
NoCall has a free ad-supported plan that lets you search numbers, read community reports, and report spam calls. Pro removes ads and unlocks advanced features such as automatic call blocking, background sync, and filtering of suspicious SMS.
How does automatic blocking work?
The NoCall app uses the iOS CallKit extension to block calls and SMS before they reach your phone. It syncs the community spam database directly on your device, so blocking can work even without an internet connection. Whenever the community reports a new number, your block list updates automatically. On Android, NoCall works as your Caller ID & spam app: it checks every incoming call against that same on-device database and can reject calls from reported numbers before they ring.
How can I report a number?
You can report a number in two ways: from the NoCall app (fastest) or on our website by searching the number and using the report button. You don’t need an account — reports are anonymous. Just provide the number and category (telemarketing, scam, debt collection, etc.).
Does it work on Android?
Yes. NoCall is available on Google Play for phones with Android 10 or later. When you choose NoCall as your Caller ID & spam app, it warns you while a reported number is calling and, with Pro, blocks those calls automatically. NoCall is also on the App Store for iPhone, and the website works in any browser, so you can search numbers and report spam from any device.
Is my data safe?
NoCall does not collect personal data. Reports are fully anonymous — we don’t store your name, email, or phone number. The block database syncs directly to your device and call filtering runs locally on your phone without sending that information to a server.
