Which carrier does a number belong to? Carrier lookup

Enter the number and we tell you which carrier it was assigned to and what kind of line it is (mobile, landline, toll-free…). Keep number portability in mind: if the owner switched providers and kept the number, the current carrier may differ from the one we show.

Enter a number, with or without the international code, and press Check.

Only reviewed or public technical facts are shown. Private identities and protection signals stay hidden.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find out which carrier a number belongs to?

From its numbering: each block of numbers is assigned to a carrier, and that is what we show. It comes from the public numbering plan, not from a real-time query to the carriers.

Why might the carrier not be the current one?

Because of number portability. Anyone can switch providers and keep their number, and that change does not alter the assigned block. Only the carrier and the owner know the current provider for certain.

Does the carrier tell me who is calling?

No. The carrier does not identify the person or business using the number. If a number keeps calling you, open its NoCall page to see whether other users have reported it.

Someone is calling on behalf of my phone company. Is it real?

Do not trust the number alone: scammers fake it (spoofing) and pose as carriers. If they ask for details, codes or payments, hang up and call the official customer service number yourself.
