have never set up online banking with RBS but got a text saying a payee had been added online and to call this number. started trying to subtly prise information out of me about my account by saying that searching my surname and address wasn't working. I smell a con artist!!

When I forgot my password on the halifax log in, it said that my password had expired and to call them on that number. It's is a trustworthy telephone number as it was on the Halifax offical website
