Awkward pause and stammering,i asked her about her PPI claim, she just put the phone down... These people are parasites and scum.

A persistent and aggressive person, blabs on about PPI and I'm owed money, I must have seen it on the news etc. I cut in and say I've never had a loan and nobody could possibly owe me money. He says you must be owed money because we wouldn't waste our time ringing you up. I say, no you're wasting my time by ringing me up. I hang up. I'd have liked to have listened for fun, but I was just leaving work and was thinking traffic is building up every second. I recognised the accent as being Mancunian. He was very fast talking and aggressive in tone. There was no point in reasoning with this person. There was music in the background like he was in a pub. Just bizarre. Don't pick up. If you are owed PPI you can claim it yourself.

I feel for these people, genuinely. The person at the other end of the phone is just trying to make a living after all and it sucks that they have to sit on the phone making hundreds of calls like this every day to do so. There's probably some really talented, intelligent individuals forced to do this type of work because they can't find good jobs. And hey, at least these people have a job, are working and making an effort, right? That's more than some! Its a ball ache receiving these calls for sure, but can you imagine the abuse they must get? That's a hard job for sure. I think people should really, really try not to be rude to them (unless they are rude first of course, that's a different story!). When these people do call me, as they did today, I just tend to say 'I appreciate the call but I'm not interested, thanks'. That usually does it. If they start getting arsey just say 'look I've politely said I'm not interested, but I appreciate the call, goodbye'. I think that's more than enough notice you don't want to continue the call and after that it's hang up time. Has that helped or have I just waffled on for 5 minutes completely aimlessly?!

This number is verified as a call from helpyourclaim.com 86 Deansgate Manchester M3 2ER Registered Company No. 06880392 Clinically, they lied to me stating they would call me because they know I have taken out a loan with PPI and I am able to claim money back. I have never taken out any loan with PPI. When pointing this out after googling the number and stating they are upsetting many people I was then laughed at and told the majority of people they call are very happy to receive such calls. I then argued they are indeed upsetting the majority of people they call, I was then told he needed to end the call because I was wasting his valuable time. I said "one final question, I understand your time is valuable, but how valuable is my time ?" He ended the call. If they call my number again, I might just have some fun with them.

Rang today, when I asked why they had called me and how they received my mobile number he just continued with PPI refund speech. Again I explained that I don't have loans or a mortgage so he then began to question me as to if I knew what PPI was as I must have signed up for it. Rude and don't take no for an answer so next time they call I am going to blow a whistle down the ear piece of my phone.

They said I was entitled to PPI on a loan, credit card or morgage I have taken out. I then explained I haven't had any of the above and then he went on saying about how banks are the main offenders and asking me what bank I was with. I did tell him this but nothing else, in the end he gave up and said sorry for wasting your time as I repeated what I had said at the start and said I've never had a loan or anything

I googled the number after the phone call and this came up PPI Claims gladstonebrookes.co.uk/PPI_Claim Reclaim PPI With Gladstone Brookes. We've Recovered £128m in 2012! I think they need to teach the tele sales staff some manners or better still close the company.

Got a missed call so I rang back. Really rude woman answered then when I realised it wasn't anything useful hung up. They then rang back and I said I wasn't interested and they couldn't help me, and hung up. Then got a call from a mobile number, turned out to be the same rude woman demanding to know why I hung up as I didn't even know what the call was about, then she hung up on me. About 5 minutes later got a text from the woman simply saying 'rude.' Ahem, what?

Number showed up as missed on the 24 and 25 December.Returned the call on 26 December, Boxing day and a man responds that the call is about PPI. I say that I have no idea what he is talking about. I then ask why would he call about this on Christmas day, to which he aggressively replies that Christmas day was 2 days ago. At this point I hung up. bunch of mad people! DON'T RESPOND TO THIS NUMBER!!

Woman calls my mobile whilst I'm studying in the library and when I answer there is initially laughter in the background. Then goes on to say how I am owed PPI and lists banks paying out. After listening to the list I name my bank as Nationwide as it was the only one she didn't mention. Asks if I have a credit card and I state no. She then proceeds to ask me if I have had a loan (which I haven't). Was very persistent and persuasive. Would recommend not answering the phone

Just called very aggressive woman who told me she was calling to help me claim back ppi. When I said I had never taken it out she said I must have. Told her I didn't want her help as it would cost. She then claimed it was free and she was helping me. I said I didn't ask for her help so why was she calling me. She then told me I was being very rude and that I was talking over her so I said tell you what then as I didn't ask you to call me and I don't want your help hang up on me. I then cut her off. NB I was not answering my own phone but someone else's so she had no idea who she was talking to.

This company has just called me 6 calls back to back. I couldn't believe it! I'm at work and was just watching the calls keep coming up one after the other! I will be going mental at them when it calls me back n next time when I am not in work! FUMING! There is no need at all to call someone that many times back to back and that, for me, shows what kind of company and attitude it's staff are going to have right away! IDIOTS!

Let them ramble on for a bit; apparently I 'could' be owed thousands in PPI claims, which they would chase for me for 'only' 30% of it. For 'reassurance' they gave me a different callback number to the one that had rung on my mobile, then asked if I would speak to my bank and request PPI information on their behalf while they kept me on hold. HYC woman instructed me that if bank asked 'has a third party put you up to this?' I was to lie and say no! When I refused to do that and requested we end the call, she got really pushy. Rang back again about half an hour later. I didn't pick up.

Guy calls telling me it's about my refund for PPI. Asked him where he got my number from and he said a secure financial database. I asked which one, he said he didn't know. Heard a lot of 'clapping' in the background. Asked him to find out for me. He put me on hold for about 1 min then came back to say that he had spoken to his manager and if I gave him my email address his manager would contact me and let me know. I asked to speak to manager, was put on hold for 30secs and then told manager was in meeting. I pleasantly asked the guy if he would mind putting me on hold until manager came out of meeting as I really wanted to know which database was being used. He said no problem and put me on hold for around 20 minutes - at which time I reckon someone must have asked him about the call and ended it. From now on I've decided that I'm going to be pleasant to these callers and ask them to hold for some reason or other and keep them holding as long as possible (while I carry on doing something else) - if they want to make these calls to my number they can start paying over the odds for them. ;-)

My hubbie was called on his moby at work - a hospital where we need to focus on sick peeps, not taking crap calls from idiots. Said we were owed thousands re PPI but we have never had this. He told them to call his wife, ME, as I dealt with things like this. Hah! They havent called me yet, but God help them if they do. I have had to warn my elderly dad who is living alone about these calls. He gets fed up with picking up his phone and a stranger on the other end trying to claim one thing or another. Good job Im on the case for him, but I feel for those who have nobody to advise them about these callers/sellers. My dad now says that person has moved away to another part of the country. Why cant they just bog off! Its about time the government got off their asses and did something about these scroungers.

Said I was owed PPI money back, she listed a loads of banks in question - none of which contained mine. I said I had not had any finance, she found that hard to believe. When I asked how she had my details if I didn't use any of those banks, she said my number was stored once?! Load of rubbish, hate things like this.

I wasn't owed any and she wished me a good day. waste of time and not trustworthy as they ask you for information which she got very little.

I just had a missed call from this number, as I don't answer unknown numbers. Bloomin glad I didn't pick up. I really wonder how they have my details, because they've been emailing me too about PPI. Crikey, I'm only 24, still living with parents and have never taken out a loan or mortgage.
