I had a missed call today this afternoon from this number 0121 371 2020 and I chased it up with the bookings team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust when I got back from college. The lady on the other end of the phone said that they can’t chase who called me so it was a bit weird and they never left a voicemail regarding the call that I missed .

Many staff in the hospital don't have a permanent base and "hot desk". This number is a generic number which is displayed when called from many extentions in the hospital. It is a perfectly safe number and is displayed if appointments or management alike telephone.

It's the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, but you can't call them back from the same number. I find it really hard to get in contact with them. They give another number in voicemail, then don't bother pick up the phone.

I had a missed call from this number. I called the hospital switch board. The lady said it could be from anywhere in the hospital. including their pay phones. There was nothing she could do to find out if any of the staff had tried to call me. I presume it was someone on a pay phone who had the wrong number.

I got a call from this number, asking me where Steve was, when I apologised and I don't know a Steve, she sucked her teeth at me, huffed and puffed and said, I wanna know where Steve is, again said her I believe she had called the wrong number as no one called Steve worked here, she then again sucked her teeth at me, said useless and hung up. Lovely and professional from the NHS as always. Found they were when I worked for them too.....not.

This number is a number which you cannot call back on. After ringing 01213712000 which is the QE in Birmingham. I still didn't get any joy as they said its a number which could have been used by anyone. Annoying as I too am under the hospital. Y don't they leave messages??

This is a floating number used by the hospital depts. You cannot call it back as any dept uses this BUT call the main number 01213712000 if you are under their supervision to try find out which dept rang.
