4American express
Just received a call from this number asking if we take American Express - I advised no and asked what company they were from assuming it was a customer. He just said he was exploring opportunities for points on his cards. This number appears to be associated with American Express but it would be nice if they were honest about the reason for their call. Call back not possible as I would have asked to be removed from their database.
Amex Customer Services checking a transaction for over £1k was valid. It was, but good to know they check!
This was a 'callback' from American Express Credit Cards (Customer Service) after I had cause for complaint. I don't believe the number is used for telemarketing.
