Friendly lady from Accent MR (www.accent-mr.com/), conducting survey for WRSE (Water Resource South East) about water usage and draught. survey is quite long. Not a scam. Numbers are generated at random by computer which is why even ex-directory numbers like mine get called.

Scam call. A guy called from Accent on behalf of Water Company asking information about a plumbing job.. but he refused to give me his contact details to call him bank. I quickly googled the phone number and When I asked if they were based in Scotland he hung up the phone..

Just missed this number call me but from the reports above I;d say genuine as Ive had a lot of contact with major work with DCWW recently so will answer if they call me again. As it turned out DCWW were really good!

Cold call. I checked with my supplier Welsh Water who confirmed it was a genuine marketing call. I recommended to Welsh Water that their website should state that Accent make calls on their behalf. Otherwise Welsh Water will be wasting its money if recipients of call refuse to respond to the survey.

I was informed that the call was from a company, based in Edinburgh, contracted by Welsh Water to carry out customer surveys. I was asked for the first part of my postcode, after which the gentleman told me that they already appeared to have a sufficient sample of results from my postcode area. After apologies, call was terminated amicably. Seemed to be above board - no inference of any scam.
