5Called about 20 times this year alone trying to get me on a smart meter. When I asked to be taken off call list they asked me for personal information because of data protection Act. I said how do I know it is Scottish power? And not some random scam. Number since blocked but still trying to ring me 3-4 times a day
Called me today (Number now banned) 22/April/2025: They were claiming to be Scottish Power(with an indian accent)trying to convince me to get a smart meter,However i am an amateur radio license holder and i am in weekly contact with ofcom.org.uk whom have announced via email to all licensed radio operators that the smart meters are to end i think on July this year(don't quote me) and the frequency smart meters operate on is now stopping as the frequency rights are now being repurposed for military drones. I have also been notified the service is stopping by Scottish Power and Scottish Gas via my text message service, all with there names shown before you open said text or answering your telephone quoting the company name (Police phone calls included,it says Police before you answer) P.s who needs a smart meter really it is simple logic put only enough water in your kettle for as many cups of t/coffee you require at that serving and refill for next time. P.s.s also to save water, put a house brick into your cistern to use less.No-one needs a commen sense meter surely. (statement) Oh and don't break the law (for some reason this should come under common sense...but, apparently not) I believe the lunatics have taken over the asylum.
Was a utility scam, some guys pretedning to be Scottish Power, asking me to pay up.

Claimed to be from Scottish Power regarding a smart meter installation. I’ll let my parents handle it when they return.
