A UK number lookup suggests it is a geographic/landline style UK number; multiple public lookup tools show varied results and user reports, but none confirm a definitive owner without real time checks. Overall, indications point to a legitimate number categorization, with mixed community reports and typical scam avoidance warnings. 1. Who it appears to belong to: Likely a UK landline/Geographic range; no definitive owner without live Ofcom data. 2. What people say online: Various UK reverse lookup services show user comments and reported risk scores; some forums flag possible scam attempts when similar numbers are reported, but specifics for this exact number are not consistently corroborated. 3. Association with spam/scams: Mixed signals; some reports flag potential spam prone behavior in UK lookup databases, but cannot confirm a scam for this exact number. 4. Public exposure/leak status: Appears in public lookup databases and forums, but there is no clear evidence of a data breach or leak specifically exposing this number. 5. Advisability of answering/calling back: Exercise caution; verify with an independent, trusted source (e.g., official directory or known business contact) before returning calls.

Fake Scotish Power phonecall
A caller claiming to be from Scottish Power offered to install a smart meter and had all my account details, including my name, address, and date of birth. Suspicious, I contacted Scottish Power directly, and they confirmed the number wasn’t associated with them.
I answered the home phone, and the caller claimed to be from Scottish Power, asking if I was the homeowner. After I confirmed and challenged him about why he was calling, he immediately hung up. I strongly dislike unsolicited calls, and this number should be blocked permanently as a nuisance or potential scam.
I’ve received three calls from this number, claiming to be from Scottish Power, asking to schedule an appointment to install a smart meter. They seemed to know my name and address and asked me to confirm my Scottish Power account number. The caller, a man with an East Asian accent, was quite persistent.
