Energy telemarketer trying to sell solar panels. Asks what type of house you live in, whether you use gas or oil heating etc. Then say you qualify for solar panels and get a colleague to call back and hound you to buy them. TPS Registration is a waste of time isn't it?

Due to the number of annoying daily calls I receive,I have tried different ways of stopping these unwanted calls. The best way I have found at the moment is caller number display on my landline, followed by blocking them. The above number called me twice this am in the space of 30mins. Disadvantage is the cost to have this facility, but probably worth it.

Telephone spammers - ignore and avoid. My dad was done for £317,000 over a 2.5 year period after dealing with a bolier room which all started with cold call. So my advice is, if you want a product or service find them, don't let them find you. Ignore all cold calls, period.

Got a call, number withheld, man with Glasgow accent said he was calling from Global Energy, I put the phone down. I'm registered with TPS so should not get sales calls from UK companies. A few minutes later I got a call from 01414336720, man with a Glasgow accent started saying something but was quickly cut off -- I think cut himself off "in revenge" for what I'd done. Obviously a bunch of arrogant arseholes. Have put a complaint in to TPS.

Checked on Google and found this number rated highly in range of nuisance calls. Have been plagued with nuisance calls from various sources - most with withheld or unavailable numbers in spite of TPS. It is ironic that you have to pay to prevent these law-breakers.

Multiple calls and often hangs up before I answer so can only assume staff are on a "pay per dial" rate of pay. They want to sell you energy...or boilers...or whatever it is they are pushing this campaign.

Guy spoke to me first offering new tariff for electricity, asked if age 40-65, we are go he said we can get the grant. Passed me over to manager who said energy bills on the rise blah blah blah and no other energy company will offer this tariff from government and they will send someone round and give us a quote on solar panels. when I said I don't want to pay for solar panels, she huffs and slams phone down.
