Who the number appears to belong to, or what kind of number it is: A UK geographic number (01470) with international format +441470699479, likely landline style, but ownership is not definitively identified in public aggregations; it is presented mainly as a caller ID/lookup subject rather than a verified corporate line. 2. Whether it is associated with spam, scams, fraud, phishing, telemarketing or unwanted calls: The number appears in the context of unknown calls and scam/spam reporting ecosystems, but there is no single authoritative confirmation that this specific number is consistently involved in fraud; caution is advised. 4. Whether the number is publicly exposed or leaked online: The number is present in public facing reverse lookup databases and spam report tools, indicating it is exposed in public directories or community reports. 5. Whether it is advisable to answer or call it back: Not advisable to call back without independently verifying the caller through trusted, official channels; unknown numbers with mixed spam signals warrant caution. Notes: No definitive owner found; information relies on public lookup and user report platforms. If more precise, up to date ownership is required, access to dedicated telecommunications registries would be needed.

3I've used this number in the past to call HSBC ref my credit card. All above board.
This number has called on twice today, I didn't recognise the number so did not answer it. They left no message. So, I rang them and it is an automated HSBC answering device asking you to "Press 1 to make a card payment, or press 2 to speak to an advisor"... on the Isle of Skye! Sounds very dodgie to me.
Supposedly, the HSBC. I can not say if that's true. Meanwhile, almost everyone works together with unscrupulous call centers. The man on the phone did not get rid of, so I put up. He tried it about 10 times since the first call.
