This is a company calling on behalf of EE/Orange. They want your BT line at any cost. Call +44 (0)20 8554 1000 and tell the receptionist you will report them if they continue to call. She told me she would get my name taken off their lists. Worth calling OFCOM as this company is working on behalf of EE and put in a formal complaint.

Phoned once. Answered it but didn't say anything. Girl asked for me by name. I made enough noise that she knew someone was there and waited a minute then hung up. Half an hour later, a man called. Joe. I said "You're coming up as a nuisance call on my phone. Why is that?". He identified himself as Joe from a company called Clear Answer working on behalf of EE. I said "I won't speak to you until you provide me with your company number from Companies House". He went quiet then tried to give me "01482489010" which I'm guessing is their switchboard telephone number. I said this wasn't actually company number and that I'd like a company number. He didn't know it and so we ended the call. He said he's make a note on my account for when they phone again. I looked them up on Companies House website and found two companies. This is the parent company: CLEARANSWER CALL CENTRES LIMITED 162-164 HIGH STREET RAYLEIGH ESSEX SS6 7BS Company No. 04549385

Clear Answer act for many companies seeking sales etc. Orange/EE being one. If you have persistent calls then report them to TPS. They are: Clear Answer, Essex House, Manor Street, Hull. HU1 1YD

This is a telemarketing company operating on behalf of Orange/EE (ie it isn't Orange or EE themselves. They are selling upgrades & additionalines and Broadband services. Orange won't tell them to stop ringing you as they claim they have no way of doing so....next time they ring tell them to remove you and they won't bother you again. Or download "phone blacklist" from the google / apple store and blacklist the number. This will automatically refuse the call for you (along with any other numbers you program into into from your call log).

Persistant junk calls from Orange. Call several times per day but never leave a message. Answer the phone with hello & then leave them hanging when they've started their spiel. That way you waste their time too.

Keep getting phone calls daily - off work today, realise they have phoned twice in one afternoon. Don't pick up - they never leave a message. As it looks like it is from Orange, maybe I will change my provider.

Called at a stupid and inconvenient time - 5.45pm, while I was preparing dinner. I explained I'm very hard of hearing and asked the caller to identify themselves more slowly and clearly. No chance - just the familiar, monotone mumble of a cold caller, so I put down the phone. If it is connected with Orange, then they could be losing a long-term customer with these filthy and annoying tactics.

Called from this number. He said he was from Orange, but wasn't able to verify. Asked me if I had their broadband. Didn't answer him, just asked him what the call was about. Said he wanted to save me money. I think he realised he wasn't going to get far, so he gave up and ended the conversation. I don't believe he was from Orange.

Keep being called by this number around 2-3 times a day during working hours (so can't pick up). It's so, so annoying and I wish they'd just stop calling! No idea where they've got my number from, but (being a regular victim to nuisance calls) if I don't recognise the number I won't answer. Would love to know who this is.
