Called my mobile this morning. Didn't answer as I didn't recognise the number and it left a very strange voicemail. Just a lot of chattering background noise. Pain in the ass as I've got about 100 blocked numbers like this. Surely the government or police can do something about these type of calls ??

This number has been spoofed so that it appears as the CLI of the caller when it has no relationship to the people originating the call. This number was assigned to a legitimate business in Surrey. They have now changed their number. The spoofing still carries on and people are getting missed call messages with this number on their mobiles and landlines. Some people are returning these calls but misdialling and getting a friend of mine's home number. They get 40 or so calls a day 'Saying you rang me and I am returning the call' when my friend has never made the call in the first place. When asked who they are calling they quote 01483 223117 My friend is getting really fed up with this. Does anybody know who this company is please??

As with others, caller hung up when I answerd. I did not call back but have no doubt it'll be a dead line as others have found. Received a sales call from an unknown number 20 mins later, unsure if it's linked as they also hung up when they heard my irritated tone! Why can't these companies sod off & leave us alone?!
