6Rang saying I'd opted in to receive call about comparative costs of phone systems. I DID NOT! Had a withheld-number call 15 minutes earlier, that I let run on for nearly 5 minutes, whilst the caller told me about a call-blocking system I could buy. I did not press any numbers; just wasted their phone bill until the call dropped of. Got to speak to a manager at Solutions UK (Bridgend, Head office in Nottingham) who said he'd investigate the fact that our TPS number registration had been violated. His operative tried to tell me I'd opted in - I NEVER respond to cold calls.
This number has been calling regularly since mid October. I actually answered today, but there was complete silence, then a bit of crackling, and then the line went dead.
This company wanted details from me to compare energy providers. Told them I would use uSwitch. They said they use same engine and chased for details. I declined and told them I am on TPS list so shouldn't receive cold calls and that without my authorization it is illegal. They said they wouldn't call again, but keep trying to call, but they're added to my blacklist app and reported to app community as a pest. Others online claim this is a company that Talk Talk sold details to, I don't think as not been with them over 8 years, but Talk Talk have recently been hacked for 3rd time this year, so easily could be hackers fraudsters after more personal details. Block this number at all cost. Use an app for your smartphone that you can share this number with others as a nuisance.
