This number called me yesterday and again this morning, pretending to be from Santander. I sensed immediately that they weren't genuine and said that I would ring Santander to check if they were, indeed, wanting to speak with me. The caller immediately gave me a phone number to ring (different from the one he was calling from) which I suspect belonged to an accomplice. Instead I laughed, put the phone down and rang Santander, using a genuine phone number from their website. They confirmed it is a scam and said they will pass the number over to the police,.
