Had 8 missed calls from this number. I searched here and found it to be trustworthy Txt2Landline. It was reminding me of daughter’s dentist appointment later in the week.

The call was from TXT2Landline.com which is a service that delivers text messages in spoken format and is used by hospitals and dental surgeries for example. The message was from an NHS clinic reminding my wife of her appointment. I only called it back after reading the third post here: https://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/02035976600 . It didn't help that TXT2Landline did not provide details of the sender of the text or its subject before inviting me to press 1 to listen to the message.

Its a text service used to inform of things. In my case that confirming appointment with consultant. Thought it was spam but it is actually a text to phone service used by companies that in my case was a legitimate call. .

Turned out to be a dental appointment reminder service. It was genuine advance warning 6 days before next reservation with a Modbury dental practice. I would not have expected this to have come from a London number & I very nearly put a block on it!

The message left came from a Dental Practice that I have not used for 20 years. They offered a free toothbrush to every new patient. If they had checked their records, they would see that I had left the practice because of their unprofessional attitude, which clearly has not changed.

Unknown Number not answered.

I've had calls from this number a few times, but chose to ignore them as it was an unknown number. Today I decided to call back & see just what or who was behind these calls. I played the messaged left for myself & it addressed me by my name, advised me that I was due for a checkup & gave me the full contact details for my practice to book an appointment. So it's not necessarily an appointment reminder, it may well be your detist informing you it's time to have a checkup. Play the message & if it's not your dentist simply go back to the main menu & opt out to never receive another call. Whole process took less than 40 seconds.

There are several negative comments with regard to this number, but I have to say that I am grateful for the call as they are in fact a company that are used by dentists that leave a recorded message reminding you of your appointment. I can understand some of the negative comments, but that is not the fault of the company as they can only respond to the telephone number entered and it only takes one digit to be mistyped for the wrong person to receive the call.

Why am I getting calls at 9.14 at night this is ridiculous....

I initially searched this forum as I had a call from this number that I didn't recognise. They have since called back and I answered the call. It was my doctors surgery reminding me that I was due to make an appointment for my flu shot. This was incredibly helpful. When I queried why they used a recorded message to my landline, the nice lady told me that they didn't have my mobile number on file to send a text to and they had in fact emailed me. I'm 93 and not so good with email so perhaps they had. I thought I would post this on case it is of helpto others. The chap Alan listed below was extremely helpful when I emailed him prior to knowing what the call was about.

The claims that this is a legitimate 'dental appointment reminder' service are laughable. It's 2016! Surely dental surgeries can text and email?

STOP CALLING US! Neither of the people who live here have dental appointments. If we did then one call a week would be sufficient, however your company seem to think that THIRTEEN calls in four days is acceptable, (4 of those today). This is harassment. If you were who you CLAIM to be then why not leave a message asking us to return your call? Let me guess, is it outbound calls only, or you can't let us call as it may well be inconvenient for you? This amount of calls is ridiculas. If you happen to see this message, I don't want excuses, I want a FREE phone number or email address to ask you to STOP. Don't tell me I should have called back on the first call, you should have left a message, you are NOT using my data for the purpose it is intended for, a breach of the data protection act to say the least!

This number called numerous times yesterday and called again at 0800 this morning, and again at 0900 and 1000. I answered it last night out of curiosity and an automated message asked me to press a number to be connected to a dental practice in Boston. I don't even live in Boston and already have a dentist. Getting pretty annoyed now.

This may well have been supposed to be about a dental appointment but when I answered it was just a silent line and when I pressed the button to cut the call off the line stayed open for about one minute blocking my line.

I am livid. I have received 10 calls from this number today!! I'm ex-directory and I work from home. Totally uncalled-for intrusion - I'm not a child - I can remember when my flipping dental appointment is, fgs. The dental practice won't know what's hit them when I go in next week

Recorded message regarding appointment with High Street Dentist. Don't have a High Street Dentist in this town, but I expect that other town do. Have received many of these calls the last couple of months. Two this morning within an hour. This is a scam

Nothing sinister, just a reminder call regarding an upcoming dental appointment. (Quite a useful service, but I do wish my dental practice had told me to expect such a call...) I have now added the number to my 'whitelist' of known callers.

Anyone who uses a system like this is unintentionally (one presumes) enabling scamsters who use similar methods. Not trustworthy at all. Southern Dental taints itself by lazily using it.

If this is a genuine call on behalf of dentist/hospital then the caller should find a way of identifying on CallerID the party on whose behalf they are calling so that the receiver does not treat it as scam/hoax etc and ignore the call.

I dialled this having received a recorded voice saying there was a spoken text message waiting for may landline number. Another recording (with more options) said it was txt2landline.com. Googling suggests this is a snall firm run from a flat in W.Hampstead, London - possibly. I can't think why anyone would text me in such a manner so will assume it is advertising. There may be more calls so I will see if the option to opt out works.
