What the number appears to belong to or its type: UK number starting with +44 2038..., appears to be a non geographic or business related line based on common ranges, but exact ownership cannot be confirmed from current sources. 2. Association with spam, scams, etc.: Some public lookup platforms flag numbers for potential scam prone activity, but there is no definitive public consensus confirming this exact number as fraudulent. 4. 5Same here, obvious scam. Caller asked if we take credit cards as he wanted to pay a debt for his father. English accent.. I called back but the call was not answered. Very Suspicious. Don't know what he had hoped to do.
Spoke to a really nice person who was just checking how they could pay in my shop. They wanted to check before making the journey as not everywhere takes AMEX. Luckily I did and was able to serve them later that day
Caller asked if we took credit cards. I told him yes. He asked if we took American Express credit cards. I asked who he was with or if this pertained to was for a personal payment. he said "personal". I told him I wasn't on the financial side of the company but would transfer him. He had a heavy English accent. Thankfully the person I transferred him to was out, so his call didn't go anywhere. I'm always suspicious when the caller ID starts with 44, then the number they are calling from. I tried to call back and it just had a busy signal.
Called asking if we take credit cards. Answered 'no', the caller hung up.
Didn't want to give his details
