3Got a call from this number from a man with a Scottish accent claiming to be from Visa fraud. Said my VISA Debit card had been used for £400 at Waitrose but payment was refused as the address didn't match mine. He then told me my home address. He didn't name the bank. He then proceeds to ask if I'd lost my card/knew how this had happened, and just got to the part where he asks me to look on the back of the card to look at the bank contact number so I can check if it's legit etc. Where I hung up. I get notifications from my bank on transactions on my ph, so knew nothing had happened, plus Visa themselves have nothing to do with me, and would never call. Did give me a real start at first, which scammers rely on. Beware!! He was very convincing. Take your time and think! Someone having your name, ph no and address means nothing. These can be easily found if you know where to look and scammer do.
Just got a call from this number, said they were from Visa and that someone had tried to buy flights to Nigeria with my card. They knew my name and address. I hung up and called my bank.
I got a call from this number today, they said it was Visa Fraud and my card was used in Manchester Airport. I said I don't discuss my accounts over the phone and hung up, but they called me back 4 times. I blocked the number but this is really scary!
