I answered the call and got someone on the other end breathing or sighing before hanging up...unprofessional in my opinion. Obviously to do with paypal. Got negative on my account due to idiot buyers on ebay and ebay themselves being bigger idiots.

I have received several calls and texts from this number, insisting they are from PayPal and that they have an important message for Melanie Archer (no idea who that is!). I called PayPal who confirmed that they have not called me and will only ever get in touch via email. I've reported it to PayPal so hopefully they investigate as I imagine lots of people probably fall for this. Do not contact the scammer on either number as they're simply trying to get your personal details.

Rang Paypal directly and they said they will ONLY ever email or call, never text. Had a text to call 020 86100 150 or text 07860020438 to opt out of these messages. Even if the first is legit, the latter is probably a trap number.

Sub of PAYPAL that are trying to gain money that YOU OWE to paypal.(I hadn't realised i had a negative balance until i logged in). You can explain you will settle through your Paypal account and they are perfectly fine. Not Dodgy, not scum = pay what you owe and the calls stop! Magic

Ringing my PAYG mobile number which is not registered with PayPal and is unknown to anyone other than family. They ring it and pester me. These scum bags are not PayPal. Just scammers trying their luck on random phone numbers. Block and ignore.

The day after I wrote to PayPal telling them I was taking them to the small claims court this Irish woman called to tell me I owed them £38. I told her she owed me £700 which PayPal stole from my account. She ceased the conversation. PayPal is a fraudsters paradise.

This is the negative balance team from Paypal (See https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/Subscriptions/Paying-an-outstanding-recurring-payment/td-p/1000315 as an example). This team will call Paypal customers if a payment on their account has been paid by paypal but not by the funding source, creating a negative balance. The account holder has 45 days to deal with the issue, before Paypal go to the funding source to ask for the money on a "Chargeback" basis. Legitimate caller if you have a paypal account which might have gone into negative territory.

Rang on the landline, no one there when answered. Then rang my old mobile which I didn't answer. Then rang my newer mobile, I answered & heard a voice but then no one replied so hung up. Checked number on-line. It's a scam trying to get your personal info. I never give out my numbers but have bought a number of items through Paypal recently which does hold all my telephone no.s. Very worried about Paypal security. Where did this scammer get my info!!

this number has called on numerous occasions claiming to be Paypal regarding my account. Have tried very politely to let them know we don't accept calls from unknown numbers and to contact by e-mail/post but don't seem to take no for an answer.Very frustrating they can get away with this.

The caller claimed that my account would be blocked by a software problem. Only on demand, he said that it should be to my Paypal account. Coinciding with his call I lured me but there, and there was no error. I played the game on and said "Oh no they can help me? I need the account". He said that you could help me, but data such as the account number and so needed. I said that he is a liar and just hung up. The following calls I did not decrease.
