17Claimed to be from E.ON Next about installing a smart meter. They got the basics wrong assuming I was on a separate day and night rate whereas I am not. Claimed it was a legal requirement but at the time I checked it was not. Very persistent and wanted to call back in two days after I said I did not want one as I can see my use on the monthly bills and do not need to check the use in money terms every day
Mobile rang. Display = Unknown Number and displayed 029 2222 9992. Didn't answer. This number has called me several times. I don't answer unrecognised numbers.
Cold call for smart meter fitting, refuse to take no for an answer, ask for personal information to stop calling, just block.
Got a phonecall saying that it was eon to arrange an appointment to fit a smart meter, he asked if I would pay by direct debit or smart pay as you go, when I said pay as you go je said there was a problem with the system and he would call back. I contacted eon and they assured me that this is a scam and not one of their numbers
Smart meter scam
I don't answer because of information on this site (thanks!) but the number has called daily for a week!
Persistent phonecalls, sometimes multiple a day. Claiming to be from Eon booking to install a smart meter. Told them for almost 2 years I have a job that is not based at home so would not be in for it to be installed. They suggested I took annual leave to get it installed! Don't answer, unless you want to keep repeating the same conversation

One of Europe's largest energy companies, offering to install a smart meter for me.
Claims to be calling on behalf of E-ON Next and trying to persuade me to have a so called smart meter. Interesting, in that I followed E-ON Nexts' process and registered with them 3 months ago that I will not accept a smart meter untill they are compulsory under UK Law. So, it can only be a SCAM
Getting repeated calls from this number and they clear down as soon as my answer machine cuts in.

Landline rang. Didn't answer. Voicemail recorded breathing noise (not heavy breathing). 1471 gave number. Same number rang my mobile 3 times. I deducted it's someone who has both my numbers. I never answer either phones, unless I know who it is.
