British Gas's complaints department say this is the number of their Smart Meter Installation team. I had phoned up to check this number with BG after I kept on getting unsolicited calls to my mobile number from 03332004455 saying they were from BG and talking about changing my old meter. I thought it was a scam, it seems not; however with cold calling companies being able to clone numbers nowadays..... if you choose to listen to them because you want a smart.meter anyway, but they say they will charge you for it/installation... then hang up! It's a free service you can arrange direct with BG yourself. I still complained to BG anyway as I should not have been constantly called by this number. If BG want to keep their customers they should stop harassing them!

Purports to be British Gas offering a smart meter but I became suspicious at the amount of personal info they were asking for. Told them I was not interested and hung up. Called British Gas on a known contact number and they confirmed the call was not from them AND that I was not entitled to a smart meter as I was not on a dual fuel tariff.
