670345 608 1878 genuine HSBC fraud prevention number, Matt was great help.
Relentless & constant even after blocking number auto reject is still logging this harassment.
Missed call and voicemail left. Although caller did not leave name, I called the bank using their published number and established it was a genuine attempt to alert me to a card payment problem
This number called today and it turns out its a Scam, you will have many staff and supervisors trying to get you to perform actions in your account.Rang HSBC while on ph to scammer and they confirmed this is a scam, and scammer hung up
I called the number after reading this number was ok. but turns out it is a fake caller .
El número 034-56081878 ha sido asignado a HSBC Fraud
This IS NOT a genuine call number from HSBC Bank's Fraud dept, it is a hoax and scam call to try and obtain your account details. Verified by HSBC direct yesterday via their "official" contact telephone number on their website.
I rang back on HSBC's official website number and got through to the fraud team who advised it was them who called
Hsbc fraud department, all seems to be legit
Got a call after getting texts from HSBC asking me to confirm transactions on my card and I replied "N" and I did not recognise them. Call came about 10 mins after replying to text. They read out part of my info and asked me for the second half for security check (e.g. told me first half of postcode, asked me to confirm second half) and went through transactions. When I confirmed they were fraudulent they said they'd send me a new card to my address and read my address out to me to confirm. All seems legit. Glad HSBC is good at catching fraudulent transactions.
Had problems with my card, suddenly I get a call, HSBC Fraud. They didn't ask me any information; they had it all on file, and said I'd be getting a new card to the address, which they had on file, soon.
HSBC will never ask for your card number!! This number is a scanner. Do not give them information!
Left a voicemail saying they were HSBC Fraud and said there was a problem with my credit card. I rang my usual telephone banking number and was advised it was a legitimate number and confirmed that my credit card had been compromised
Calling to "verify transactions", said they were from "the bank" and were working until 10pm "UK time" as if this needed clarifying. They called back a 3rd time and hung up as soon as I answered. If this is legit it is definitely not something I'd get involved in. Ignore and call the number on your card.
HSBC Fraud fue reportado como Número fiable con el número 034-56081878
Same like others Fraud protection
This is HSBC's fraud department number and the call was genuine.
HSBC Fraud Department calling to confirm whether my online transaction was legitimate.
HSBC Fraud Reduction and Prevention Team: extremely helpful when I called their number back, my card had been locked as it met parameters for being a potential fraudulent transaction, the parameters change all the time
Called to let Me know my card had tried to be used online for £175 and someone had tried to transfer 800 to a money gram account. So they blocked my card and are sending me a new one.
HSBC fraud department, called to check a few of my recent transactions, didn't ask for any card details etc
From HSBC fraud team. They wanted to make sure that an earlier order I placed not someone else.I confirmed it and they unblocked my card.
I checked in branch before calling back and it is 100% their fraud department
HSBC fraud prevention team
HSBC BANK
Received a call. Message left saying they were from the HSBC fraud team. That said, I could hardly understand most of the message as the callers English was so poor. I phoned HSBC customer services using the number on my bank card. They confirmed nobody from the bank had called me and that it was NOT a call from their company and that this was NOT one of their numbers. I’ve read all the positives on this site so am left confused!
Scam call - purported to be from HSBC calling in relation to fraud. Calling HSBC from their actual number confirmed no suspicious activity.
This was a call from the HSBC fraud team. I called the HSBC customer help line form the number on the rear of my card and they confirmed it was their fraud team.
Confirmed. HSBC checking it was I that had activated my new credit card :)
Received a missed call and then a text from asking me to ring them back. Was from the HSBC fraud team.
I rang hsbc via the number on the back of my card and this number genuine
Called confirming my card had been swizzed - been used yesterday to pay £200 worth of Uber fares in 25-30 transactions. Wouldn't mind but I've never used Uber!
Asian sounding person who I could hardly understand reporting to be from the HSBC Fraud dept and would say why he was ringing but and asked to take me straight through security check but said my answers were wrong. I told I was suspious and he told me he couldn't help me and to go to my nearest bank. Having research and found that it was a genuine number I call HSBC who checked with the fraud department who said there was no issues with my account and no one from there had call me........!!! something going on with this number.
If this really is HSBC's fraud dept they are staggeringly incompetent and l am by no means convinced that it is. Question of whether there has been fraud on my account remains unsolved - l was unable to give the exact year that l opened my account - approx 40 years ago - and so failed my 'telephone security check'. May be genuine, but they asked me to repeat the same information re my account so many times that l was suspicious, and would urge caution
Received a call from this number but not picked up and a voice mail said I need to contact HSBC Fraud Line. Seconds after the call received a txt from HSBC asking to contact this number which is Fraud Prevention line. Called number on the back on the card and HSBC confirmed attempts to contact me due to declined online transaction (my daughter was trying buy something for the Roblox game). She's grounded BTW. Well done HSBC, they response in 30 minutes after decline. Impressed.
I recieved two calls from this number saying that thay were HSBC fraud dept. I refused to give my details so they said ring the number on the back of the card. Instead I rang a number on HSBC website under security and was told nothing was highlighted or noted on my account and not to worry. Then I googled the number and saw all these comments, so I rand the number on the back of the card instead as a double check and was informed that fraud had indeed been trying to contact me. They put me through and someone has been trying to use my credit card details on various online sites today. Card now cancelled and new one on its way. Thanks HSBC and all you who have left previous comments.
This is HSBC fraud department , they report suspicious transactions , you better answer this.
This number is definitely HSBC phoned it someone else had tried to use internet purchase with my card number
HSBC fraud department. They called me about a transaction just a few minutes old. Fraudsters couldn't have known about this so quickly. My debit card was unblocked after the call.
I reseived today call from this number they from HSBC bank and they asked me persional detials I was not sure about them so I didn't give my detials. So they ask me to call the number in back my card. They are HSBC bank team
HSBC Fraud department, just went through some transactions I had done a previous day as they were unusual. All ok
Legitimate. It is HSBC, but it's always safer to ring the number on the back of your bank card
HSBC Fraud dept, advising that someone had tried to use my card on amazon prime. definitely wasn't me therefore I was extremely grateful for the call
I received a text and phone call on my registered mobile and when I called the number i was doubtful regarding if it was trustworthy, so checked and called them back, they were able to confirm some recent overseas transactions which were correct and they unlocked my card.... I had not realised it had been locked, so full marks to HSBC
Genuine caller- HSBC fraud dept, didn't trust at first so as mentioned called number on back of my card and they confirmed it was them. Well done HSBC for checking suspicious activity (it wasn't but it did look it to be fair!)
Had this Number ring me today on my new mobile, and I didn't answer as was busy on my landline phone.... OK -this is a new mobile with a NEW number & Not registered with any banks yet, plus I'm don't have a HSBC bank account or cards??? So how can there be Fraud on a card I don't Have!...then they sent me a TXT message..... Take care people!!..I'm not returning the call...
THIS IS THE FRAUD DPT FROM HSBC CHECKING IN A UNUSUAL TRANSACTIONS
Recieved a text called number on the back of my card and verified it was a genuine HSBC number they confirmed and reassured me and they stated that I was wise to check. Good on HSBC they had noted 3 bogus transactions.
Like others have put I received a call from this number regarding HSBC attempted fraudulent use of my card details. I was initially suspicious but, having seen the comments here gave requested details. The caller did suggest I could phone back using the number on the back of the card if in doubt. When he was able to give details of my transaction history I was more relaxed/confident the call was genuine. They said they would cancel my card as two attempted transactions had been declined which I confirmed weren't made by myself. I double checked that the card had been cancelled which it had. So very pleased I took the call and they spotted the attempted fraud. If you're still in doubt phone the number on the back of your card (which they are likely to advise if you're still in doubt)
As with others - called number on back of card and HSBC said they had tried to contact me regarding fraud - genuine call
