I was very cautious about this, but turned out to be genuine. I think they need to warn you that a link to the appointment will arrive by text, and include more information in the text so you know it is genuine.
Text prior to NHS message, cost £2, scam for sure.
I called the hospital to check as the text message was about an appointment but asked for a text back to confirm. Turns out it IS genuine.
If you get an incorrect message from this number - take it up with your local hospital. All texts are sent out via data your hospital/NHS Trust provides the service that sends out the texts from this number and are only doing their job.
NHS appointment conformation. Would be better if it wasn’t just a random mobile number sending a text
NHS radiology appointment, sent by text. The appointment time written on the text was actually correct. The name of the patient was initialled and also correct (eg JS instead of John Smith). However, I didn't reply with any 'YES' since I wasn't expecting this text message. Possibly genuine but not 100% sure.
Took me to The NHS appointment portal. Asked my date of birth and the PIN in the text, no other details were requested. This showed my correct hospital details, correct nhs trust for my area, and offered me an appointemt i was expecting
