I phone Lloyd's in regards to fraud shutting my card off (I went on a shopping spree) I get a call back, not from lloyds but from another number. The person on the other end said "good evening" to me. (Its 11.58AM so there's no way it could be mistaken) very fishy.

I have been called by this number a few times today. A voicemail had previously been left claiming to be from Lloyds Bank. I answered to check if it was important. The Asian lady wanted person details. I refused. She became agitated. I decided to terminate the call and check with Lloyds. It was not a call from Lloyds Bank. Lloyds BG do not call you.

Repeatedly cold calls me as a professional sounding personal banking advisor with Lloyds to discuss my future goals. I’ve said I have nothing to talk about to them but the same person keeps calling and leaving messages. Very odd.

Keeps ringing saying my account manager. Both Lloyds phone banking staff and in branch staff have confirmed there is no such role and I would not be assigned an indivisible account manager. Additionally, a request I made to him was never followed up.

You should never RECEIVE a call from an 0800 number, however it is identified as legitimate. They are used (as far as I am informed) for incoming calls to the organisation only. In my case it was used as a GHOST number for some trying to interest me in a govrnment initiative for loft insualation. This DOES NOT EXIST.

Said they were from Halifax fraud team as someone had tried to set up an account online in my name. They wanted to go through security questions with me but I didn’t want to so she said she’d post something. I rang Halifax to check. They said an account had been opened on my name which they shut down immediately and the 0800 number was from scammers. Don’t be fooled!!

Caller allegedly from Lloyd's. How can a bank uses a random BT multi user number? Don't they get enough monies to buy their own number? Reading the comments from Halifax, Lloyd's I suspect its either a common number for all banks or a fraudulent company. Yet banks aren't trustworthy nowadays. You can close any account with any identity. Call and change signatures, payees etc. Even the banks suffer from the loss of common sense and laziness.

This is a legitimate number for Lloyds Bank Group security department phoning to enquire about suspicious activity on your bank account. Still be careful about giving too much information to incoming calls from your bank.

This is a total scammer pretending to be from Lloyds bank. I verified the fraud by contacting Lloyds through a genuine number to see if they wanted to speak to me. Check with Lloyds, this is NOT one of their numbers!

Claimed to be from loans.co.uk about a loan I had in the past. I couldn't answer the security questions as I had no idea what loan they were talking about. They wouldn't give me any information. From the other comments here they seem to be claiming to be a lot of organisations.

Bank of Scotland, Lloyds, and Halifax are all part of the same group. This is a genuine Bank of Scotland number and appears to be used by Lloyds and Halifax too for some services.
