Claimed to be bt and told me I had to pay £362 or my phone line and Internet would be cut off. Tried to get my bank details from me. Was very aggressive on the phone when I refused. I haven't been with bt for nearly 20 years. This is a scam

So Annoyed and upset at BT??? - Left a voicemail from this number which is an automated message but my voicemail only received the last bit of the message - call back on ..... I am supposed to be having Fibre Broadband installed next week - What is this stupid Voicemail about - Do I now have to spend 30 minutes to an hour on cue on the phone to find out why they are ringing me and leaving this stupid cryptic automated message, and half an automated message at that!

Having reported a fault to BT online, I received a call from this number. My (BT) screening phone did not let it through. I rang BT to ask about an engineer and said I had received a call from this number, I was told that, upon checking my account, no one from BT had called. It appears not to be a genuine BT number.

Called twice within 5 minutes at lunchtime, missed the call as wa sdout on lunch tried calling back but line is only outgoing calls. AVOID BT people they screw up & pass details to debt collection agenices for you to pay for their mistakes.

I called back and was told in a recorded message that BT had called but not to ring this number as they would call me back. It may be legit as Plusnet have been talking to Open reach about installing Fibre broadband.

Be very carefull. Scammers are using this number in text messages to appear to be genuine BT enginers. Rather worrying as they appear to be organising a home visit. They are not BT.

Unfortunately it's a mask used by BT so it can be a legit BT Call or an aggressive sales call. In my case it was the latter, wanting our mobile business. If you're with BT, answer it, if you're not, don't.

This person called stating he was from RBS calling on behlaf of The Service Issue and Voice Team checking the validity of the phone number stating that my numnber had called RBS on numerous occasions. Just be careful people as I don't what this creature wanted.

Have had a number of calls from this number a few trying to access my computer saying something is wrong others from call centre in Calcutta all say they are BT. By calling back on another line found some are BT others are not as there was no record of call. Seems extremely dodgy and they are using an apparently legit number somehow

Sent text message to my mobile claiming to be from BT - then asked name and BT number. I refused further information on the grounds that BT already have my address and was given some unbelievable story about my mobile number having come up in some other context. Two hours later, the same message arrived on my wife's mobile. Clearly some sort of scam but I do not know what.
