69I got a couple of missed calls from +448003890755 on my land line because I just let the answering machine did the job. As I worked in the telephone company before, I know that if they called me from within the UK, the missed call number would not start with +44 and it should be 08003890755. If you get a call from the number starting with +44, please be careful. Most of them are from SCAMMERS. Hope this helps everyone. PS. Santander know the issue hence if you call 08003890755, you will reach automatic answering machine and then hang up.
spoofed santander caller id number, call back also spoofed, phishing scammers, blocked.
Scam pretending to be Santander, the caller asked for a lot of personal details without identifying himself. I don't bank with Santader! SCAM.
gazchampion reportó Santander Bank con el número 080-03890755 como Número fiable
santander refuse to issue debit card. to housebound disabled pensioner. this is causing starvation as pensioner cannot shop. d
scam! not actually Santander Liverpool fraud group posing as Santander.
SCAM - had a missed call. Called back through official number and they had no record
Santander Bank fue reportado como Acoso telefónico con el número 080-03890755
Mohamed called, saying he was Santander. Wanting security details. I said I would take him through security by giving him a date and asking for the "number of pence" on the transaction in my account. So that no private information was being given out. He said he had no access to my account or information, and they were just calling to give information. I asked why he needed to take me through security if just a general notification. He was obviously got lost reading his script, since he referred to "getting his details" rather then "getting your details". Obvious scam from the beginning.
Called to check my account details to send a confidential document. Even gave a 'code' to check with my bank.
Definitely not legit. Received a missed call and they left a voicemail claiming to be from Santander about 'a charge on my corporate account'. I have no account with them either personally or through my company. They called me Sophie because that's my nickname which is on my voicemail, however, through work and any formal account, my name is legally Sophia and so anyone calling about an actual account I have would refer to me as such. Very dodgy.
08003890755 is a genuine Santander phone number. We were expecting a call from them about a letter of complaint. Tracy who was calling asked me to confirm one of my personal details. She also knew about the contents of my letter. It's always worth saying that scammers can and do spoof bank phone numbers, so even though it was Santander calling in this case it might not always be. So if you're not expecting a call from your bank, it pays to be careful!
Calling about santander insurances
Legit number
I received a call from 'Jamie' allegedly of Santander regarding a query on account. Did not answer his questions and enquiries with Santander state that it is a scam call.
Santander bank
100% Santander. I work for Santander!
This is NOT Santander. They called on this number and asked me to go through security. I called the main number back and they confirmed it wasn't them who had called me, even though this number is verified as them on lots of sites.
At 1600hrs today I had a call from this number asking to talk to my wife, they knew her first name, how, I don’t know. He said that he was from Santander bank and they had noticed some unusual local activity on her card, and then proceeded to ask for date of birth and mother’s maiden name, I immediately realised that it was a scam call and taking the phone from my wife, told the caller in no uncertain terms where to go
Has repeated called me. Apparently santander but I've never banked with them so seems very suspicious.
This is a genuine Santander number. I am speaking to them about a mortgage and when I missed a call from this number they sent me a text and an email directing me to the Santander site where all the details of my case are kept. I have been called on this number before also. It's 100% genuine.
A genuine call to my mobile, in response to a complaint message I had sent via online banking.
I'm unsure why so many people think this number is a scam, unless scammers can make your phone show this number in replacement of their own. I've had several calls from this number and the caller knew details about my account that only the bank could know. I'd made an online complaint and hadn't told anyone, and they knew of previous issues I'd had with my account.
SCAM! ... Checked a message from this number left on my answering machine. A woman's voice said that " this is Santander, we want to speak to you about a recent £10,000 business account withdrawal" "We will call you back again shortly" ... yeah right! ... I do not bank with Santander, neither privately or as a business... scare tactics to get to you answer the phone next time they call.. I don't think so!
I kept getting calls from this number twice daily. Sometimes it would ring once and then hang up. I rang back and it said I was contacted by Santander. I rang the original Santander number to ask why they keep contacting me and leave no message. They said they hadn't and the number I gave them was not a santander number, to block them and never give personal details.
Confirmed by Santander security as a scam number.
It is Santander but they bombard you with silent calls.
This is santander I rang them about something and this is the number they rang me back on with me speaking to the same named member of staff I spoke to when I rang the number on the back of my debit card
100% a Santander number. If you are ever not comfortable answering any questions then ask them to write to you. (Without telling them your address as they should already have it)
Santander security team. Checked it out. Legit.
Yes - it's Santander - they had bank info correct without me providing too much - however, they're really just trying to sell you extra services.
Claimed to be Santander, but Santander deny that they have not been trying to contact me.
Genuine call from Santander
Called when I was on a call to a client. Called back and received a short voicemail that the call was from Santander. Called Santander Business Banking who advised there was no notes on their system about a call being made nor any reason why they would call and their security team were unaware of this number. Dodgy as fuck.
They were calling me back from an incident which I raised the day before, legit number.
This IS Santander Bank number. They called me about PPI I had on a Debenhams card
This is definitely Santander Bank and is genuine.
This is a Santander number. In my case, I made a complaint, so their complaints department called me from this number.
This number is Santander. They contacted me when I tried to make a large transaction via Western Union and needed to confirm it was me. I was successfully able to make the transaction after the call. Very helpful.
I received a call from 0800 389 0755...missed it so thought it was a client and called it back, voicemail stated it was Santander and they would call back. First issue I had with this is I don't or never have banked with Santander.vso I sourced the local branch number to enquire if someone had opened an account in my name or if there were any fraudulent activity regarding my name number. They gave me the correct number for customer service. 0800 9123 123 they advised that the above number on this feed does not relate to them and it's spam. So I would advise not to pick up or give any sensitive information.
Guy saying he was from Santander. As far as i'm aware Santander don't have my mobile number!!! he wanted me to confirm security details, then he could tell me about rate changes. This call did not sound genuine so told him i'd call into branch. He did an awful lot of stuttering through out the call as if he was being cautious on what he was saying.
Not spam, its SANTANDER, they called me three times and missed me when they got me it was to answer a few questions abiut a PPI claim from a claims company. As advised they got no information as its a common PPI trait to 'catch you out on tape'. Pleasant lady, call ended. Santander but ' the ppi claims bit' that you 'should expect' when claiming missold ppi
This was Santander ringing me back about a complaint I had made.
This is a genuine Santander number but it is not impossible for a fraudster to appear to be calling from it (or any number). Santander will not call you without a valid reason so unless you are certain you have never had any previous dealings with Santander, Abbey National, Alliance & Leicester or Girobank you should follow the advice to take the caller's name and ring back to a published Santander number using either a different landline or a mobile.
It is a genuine number from Santander.
This n umber is santander calling abut possible suspicious account activivty
The chap called providing some personal details for me to confirm and asking me to call re new payment (£20,000 business acount). Later, I phoned bank. Initial team do not have this number. The guy on phone then helpfully called security dept' who confirmed it was a genuine number.
I didn't answer the call but just wanted to write a message as I've seen the comments from people saying it's Santander Bank, however I do not have anything associated with Santander so they have NO reason to call me.
Was Santander calling as arranged re insurance. Please remember that scammers can "clone" the number you see on screen. If you are expecting a call from Santander it will be them, if not it MIGHT be scammers.
This is a Santander number. They rang me in connection with a complaint which only they would have known about.
