5calls almost every other day - I only answer the phone if I know the number so these all go un-answered. If it was important they should leave a message
A man called me about a purchase I have with argos and he offered me to insure any other home appliances I had with argos through them. I went ahead with it, and he charged 4.90 a month which seemed fine but when it came to giving him personal bank data, he repeated the numbers back to me which seemed odd because you're not allowed to do that but I brushed it off as a small firm making a mistake. Also he seemed to be adamant on getting the manufacture number of the appliance but then changed his mind when I took a while looking for it. Seems suspicious and dodgy.
Seemed to be Domestic & General regarding appliance insurance for my washer and dryer.
Domestic and General called, claiming knowledge of a fire covered by them. They requested the first name for security reasons, which was provided. Subsequently, they asked for the address, to which I was suspicious as they should know this info.
A male caller claimed to be from Domestic & General regarding dishwasher insurance, which was not due until September. This raised suspicions of a potential scam.
