Claims to be PayPal but kept asking me for information that they’d surely have, to “confirm my identity” - said I am not happy to provide this and they terminated the call. Since have rung back 6 times in a day.

Have received this calls for weeks now. Thought it was genuinely PayPal at first but on speaking to them they have since confirmed it is not a genuine PayPal number.

It's a harassment scam phone number. They pretend to be from PayPal and ask you to phone another 0800 number. Why would PayPal ask customers to do that? It's obviously fraudulent. My PayPal account is dealt with by e-mails so genuine staff would never call me, ask for personal details and to call a third number. Pathetic.

08005870463- man wanted to talk to someone who could be family member but got surname wrong, said is from PayPal but they won't phish for personal information about a third person in an unsolicited call, has to be a criminal outfit. Why nobody shuts these fraudsters down, this is obviously going on for a while now. Caller ignored request to text a PayPal number to my mobile phone he targeted. Do not give them even a letter of a name or confirm anything. Report to PayPal, they maybe able to complain to their line provider.
