THIS IS A VALID NUMBER, I called the Halifax card services number from their web site 08456051150 and they confirmed my application had been made today via telephone and they are based in Cardiff. Phew, this web thread had me worried but if you are then call them and check yourself:o)

The number keeps calling me - in the last 2 days I've received 11 calls from them. I just pick up and put straight down, thinking it's probably a research company but I just wish they'd stop bothering me. I am a customer of the Halifax Building Society but if they're so keen to contact me they can just write to me!!
