I got a call from this number saying it was a text message from a delivery service. I pressed 1 and then it hung up. I checked my phone and there was no message. I think it's a scam

08442843421 This is hardcore scammers. Rings me everyday leaving messages about a pending Royal Mail delivery that i need to pay. Providing suspicious account numbers. Very irritating

Had a sms message on my land line, said the message was from # 000000000... Hung up, dialled 1471 and was told this number sent the sms.No idea what it was about. Didn't wait to find out

Anonymous

GENUINE call, from a store advising me that "the item I ordered is now in the store and available for collection". This text-to-speech service is obviously used by many companies, therefore unfortunately it is going to be difficult to separate genuine callers from spam/sales calls

Anonymous

This is a SMS message sent from a mobile phone to landline! If not answered the number will continue to ring.

Anonymous

Constant calls all day, every 2 hours, for weeks. My number is unlisted, so no reason for anyone to call it.

Anonymous

They keep calling me but I don't pick up. First time an automated voice said that I had an SMS message but I didn't believe it, why would I, I've never had one before. Now I'm looking after grandchildren asleep in bed and the phone is still ringing. I'm getting angry now! Clearly a scam of some sort

Anonymous

This was a call from my dentist telling me about an appointment. Don't know where the debt collection bit comes in.

Anonymous

Received a call from this number. It is a text messaging service used by several companies, some legit others not- my old dentist in my case

Anonymous

Calling me multiple times per day. No idea why. I'm TPS listed and never use the number they are calling on any correspondence. So, this is clearly a scam of some sort. Why Ofcom can't stop this kind of nuisance calling is a mystery to me. Ineffective regulation

Lowells - notorious and shady debt collection agency you should on no account speak to by telephone, and if they call you, hang up. If you have a call blocker or a call filtering system (Truecall's a good one), then make sure these numbers are entered, and then they'll never get through to you. 01133086000 01133086147 07814050967 08448150652 07837638835 01133086999 01133086104 08442843421 01133086108 01133086003 01132856550 07891672094 01133086119 08450260093 08448444716 07900742233 07900742242 01153 308600 0845 309416 01153 308600 0844 8444716 01133 086 000 07837 649 560 07891 672 091 07837 641 866 07837 671 293 Also, this company is notoriously bad at dealing with general enquiries or complaints, so if you have such a complaint you do need to discuss with them, do it by email, and do it from a free hotmail account (NO WAY should you se your normal everyday email address). If you have to send them an email, then make sure every one of the addresses on the list below is copied in - they'll be much more inclined to pick your enquiry up and deal with it properly, especially if you don't buy their excuses, fob-offs and attempts to ignore your enquiry (all of which they will try to do, if there's no money in it for them!). Please note that these email addresses have been included SOLELY to help you reach them at your own convenience and on your own terms and not theirs - they are NOT here to be abused, ie. isnged up to religious sites, porn sites, book sites, etc. Plus, it really irritates them when they get more emails to trawl through than they need to - so that's a plus in itself. I was receiving calls from these idiots for a person who did not live at my address, I told them many times but they never listen. Now when they call I turn the Table on them by pretending I am a debt collector and I am calling them to recover a debt they owe, the response was hilarious. They have not called me anymore. This works with Indian Tele sales to, you just have to tell them you have an amazing offer for them but don't let them get a word in, keep telling them about your amazing offer and they will hang up and never call again

Anonymous

Got a call today 2 mins ago.. got a bit late to pick up the phone.. when called back its a voice message .. this is a sms delivery store you have no messages.. so guess likely to be a premium rate trying to charge you.

Anonymous

Southwest water advising via a sms messaging that there is a problem with water in area, Do not help themselves as say message comes from another number, speak so fast it is impossible to get it down, abd also the website sounds like it is Luigi something, had 3 calls one recorded second one they didnt play message and third i managed to listen to,,some credibility as no water for nearly 6hours today.

Anonymous

Posing as an sms delivery service.

Anonymous

From what I have seen on this site and others,it is just the number for a text messaging service. Unfortunately it is used by genuine companies, like water companies, and also by all sorts of scumbags as well. No way of knowing which it is as I'm not prepared to risk a scam pr pressing whatever number they tell me

Anonymous

what the f..ing do you want i answer the phone no one there.

Anonymous

The above number called but a voice / text message was left stating that 03443462020 called, it was South West Water to warn of a burst pipe in the area and information about this. The number that appeared on the phone was 08442843421 though

Anonymous

never heard of them, the supposed fine and I have never been to court or had a traffic offence. I hope they bring the police with them as I will certainly call them.

Anonymous

Came home to an automated message on my answerphone claiming I had failed to pay a court order and bailiffs were on their way. No name and when I called the company they said they had no record of the account no they had left in the message and no record of my phone no. The message was threatening and it took 20 rep,ays to work out their phone no. It is disgusting that they can leave this type of message.

Anonymous

These parasites have called my landline 9 times today so far, I refuse to answer

I was called today by this company and found out who they were (on here). I promptly phoned their 0845 number and requested that they remove me from their database. I explained that I had caller preference and threatened to report them to Ofcom. The interesting thing is that they asked me if I knew a certain person (who they mentioned by name). This person was clearly the person they were chasing for the debt but I had never heard of her. They state on their website that they are they work ethically, honestly, and with transparency. That is clearly complete and utter bull. I was assured that they would take my number of their database (that remains to be seen). How ethical is it to mention a person with debt by name to a third party? It isn't. How transparent is it to call someone and not state who you are? It isn't. How honest is it to call people in the hoipe of entrapping them? It isn't

got call message says here is a text, press 1 to hear dont do that,or call them they are premium rate number they are i think a debt collection agency, who buy debts in theory from their own company which is registered in various names they work for vodafone, who are a gross company when it comes to harassement a friend was driven to near suicide over them,if they want you that urgent let them send you a letter,if in debt seek help from various charities STEP.ORG, OR CHRISTIANS AGAINST POVERTY THEIR NO IS FREEPHONE 0800 3280006 very good they will help you become debt free you do not need to be religous they help everyone.

Anonymous

If you block them they appear to have landline numbers in Glasgow Manchester Huddersfield simply let them waste their calls. I have written to them once saying this is not correct but they ignore

Anonymous

Sky were of no help in barring this number, so I've had to tackle it myself. I made sure I was registered with the Telephone Preferential Service and then called Lowell on the number on the first page of their own website.. 0845 300 9410 I demanded my number was removed, made it quite clear I was registered with TPS and that I would take my complaint further if I received one more call from them

Anonymous

Just had a call from 08442843421 saying they needed to talk to me urgently and used the call back service, when connected i got a message saying you have not messages waiting for you and the call cut off, seems a scam for you to call a premium rate number, all i can say is scum bags

Anonymous

They keep phoning my work number, I will never speak to them, they don't leave a message and have been doing it for nearly two years

Anonymous

This number called today for the first time. I have BARRED it, end of story. Some people here seem to have a story to tell, or getting involved, get annoyed about these idiots ringing all day, it this utter nonsense. Bar the number for life - nothing further to talk about. Talk about what.

Anonymous

Calling at all hours. Never answer this number and if you do happen to pick up the phone stay silent. They are awfully

Anonymous

These debt collecting agencies are often looking for a debtor and all they have to go on is a name. So they compile a list of people with the same name and harass them into giving enough personal info to cross them off their list. Report them to the ICO. Don't call them back or give them want they want because you'll just be helping them stay in business

Anonymous

Lowell have started calling me. i checked here before responding. I won't be answering. I do have debts but pay £1 per month as I am a pensioner

Anonymous

They keep calling me from different numbers, but I block them. They keep leaving an automated computer voicemail. Almost every day they call for a debt that is over 7 years old

Anonymous

I ignore all calls coming into my landline number until the caller speaks. If no one speaks within a few seconds, I assume that I've been called by an autodialler which is activated by the sound of my voice, and because I've remained silent.... nothing happens, or I hang up. I then dial 1471 for the number and Google it. I never call any numbers they've left for me to call. If they are too lazy to make any effort to contact me themselves.... then their call can't be that important.

Anonymous

Seems like I'm the only person on here that actually does have a debt with these guys. They bought my debt from Vodafone after they defaulted on my contract but refused to release me from it, I told them to do one and took the credit rating hit. They do call at all hours but I can program my phone to ring silently for certain numbers, it took a while to get all their different numbers but now I don't hear a thing from them and in no time at all it will be wiped from my rating, Vodafone and Lowell can swivel, corporate scum

Anonymous

Received a silent call then went to SMS message "URGENT CALL" for someone I never heard of from a foreign lady. I won't be calling them. HOW DO WE STOP THESE CALLS.

Anonymous

STOP PHONING ME FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS NEVER LIVED HERE ,,I HAVE ONLY JUST GOT THIS NO FROM TALK TALK ...MAYBE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THEM DO ONE.

Anonymous

Calling to chase a debt. Number they call is a Skype number I have had for 3 months. Nothing to do with me. But annoying they will not stop

Anonymous

Had several calls no message left, when did answer one of them recorded their message. They advised that there was an SMS message for me from 08449801895, press 1 to hear. No way, added to blocked list, been receiving a lot mail for people who have not lived at this address for over 30 years, assume the same bunch of muppets who will now be calling my phone at odd times of the day and night.
