It was a recorded message claiming to be from Barclaycard _ I don't have an account! I hung up when I realised it was a sales pitch and annoyingly when I tried to make a call out shortly after, I found the message was still rambling on. I had to wait for it to finish before I could use my phone.

I rang Barclaycard on their freefone number off their website and they said that this number has nothing to do with them. I also received a txt from someone claiming to be Barclaycard with the return number 08001615213 asking me to call. Barclaycard have confirmed that this is not their number either. I do not have a Barclaycard account. They said that this is a scam.

This is the barclaycard team calling about late payments or exceeded credit card limit. If you don't have a barclaycard, somebody has used your number so that they don't get these calls themselves.

I was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of calls I got from this number and from "Barclaycard". It confuses me because I don't have any business with them. I've never had. So why the calls? Then I had to give up and pick up the phone again, and listen to their story, again, and I told them AGAIN that I don't know the person with that name. I'm sorry but I just don't. Someday I went to Barclaycard and wanted to clear this up, whatever this was and here comes the surprise: I'm not in their database! Well, of course I'm not. like I said, I don't have any connection with this company. Sooo that means that either some scammers called me with the lie of being Barclaycard, or Barclaycard and the scammers alternated their calls to me.
