Call received but I didn’t answer it as I didn’t recognise it. After they gave up calling I Googled their phone number to read above comments. Banned their number on my phone. Never answer if you don’t recognise who’s calling, it verifies your mobile is in use and you’ll get more calls etc, maybe an attempted scam too.

I was hard at work concentrating on what I was doing when interrupted by this number calling me. I did not answer. When I investigated later Google associated it with Fed-Ex tracking service. Puzzled, I called it back, only to get a recorded message saying it was a research agency. More investigation revealed others had been bothered by it and that whoever these people are were claiming to be Carphone Warehouse. I doubt it. Only two minutes later I got another nuisance call, this time from a withheld number, with a foreign-accented man telling me he was from Talk Talk. Last year I got a spate of such calls from accented men asking whether my computer was switched on. I cannot understand what any of them are saying. This one eventually gave up, after questioning me about my computer and laptop, and rang off. I had repeatedly asked for his telephone number but did not get it. Last year, the first time this happened, I telephoned Talk Talk and they had no knowledge of having called my number.
