A concise overview based on available public signals indicates the number is a UK geographic number (Malton area) that has appeared in user reported spam and telemarketing databases. Reports are mixed, with multiple entries suggesting unwanted calls or SMS spam, implying caution when answering. 1. Ownership/type: The number appears to be a geographic UK landline (014?? or 01653 pattern) associated with the Malton area, not clearly linked to a well known company; data sources typically classify it as a generic geographic line rather than a mobile or premium rate line. 2. Online chatter: Several user led reports describe this number in contexts of SMS spam or unsolicited calls; discussions on forums and spam report platforms reflect caution and warnings about potential scam use or telemarketing. 3. Spam/scams connection: The pattern in reports points to telemarketing and potential scam related activity, including unsolicited messages and suspicious links, though verifiable direct evidence for this exact number varies across sources. 4. Public exposure/leaks: The number appears in public facing spam/phone lookup databases and community reporting sites, indicating it is exposed in public records and complaint forums. 5. Advisability of answering: Given the recurring spam/suspicious reports, answering or returning calls to this number is not advisable. If contacted, consider blocking or letting calls go to voicemail, and avoid interacting with links or requests for personal info. Note: If precise, highly reliable details about this exact number are unavailable in trustworthy sources, the assessment reflects the best available public signals without fabricating specifics.

9Car Dealers fue reportado como SMS spam con el número 01653-272045
Allegedly, a car dealer from Malton, Yorkshire.
It was a text message, not a phone call inviting me to review a vehicle order. I had made this order. Legit no.
Keep being sent a message to click the links, which contain malware. A scam. Do not respond.
It was a genuine message with a link to an online doc signature as part of the process for buying my car.
I checked in with the car dealer to see if this was a legitimate text message, which they confirmed that it was. Best to stay on the safe side and contact them though if something smells off. It looks like it handles automated text messages. I had no problems following the link.
Link to sign docs - very suspicious - DO NOT CLICK
Link to sign share documents. I have no share dealings so treating as a scam.
Scam -avoid. Totally sinister - knows your name and the fact you have had discussions to buy something. Knows the name of the company you have been talking to. So it addresses you by name and says 'Dear X, you have been in discussions to buy an X from X company. Here are your documents here.' Then there's a link which will undoubtedly destroy your computer. The question is how these weird criminals know the info they have. When you call the number a robot voice says something nonsense sounding that a non-English speaker has tried to produce hoping it sounds like an answering service. But it's not coherent English. Total scam. Delete and report.
