Used the name "Richard". Calls very late at night. Scammed me by £125. Became excessevly aggressive over the phone. Final email: WE WILL SHORTLY BE IN CONTACT WITH YOUR UNIVERSITY WITH REGARDS TO YOUR COMPLETED PRACTICAL REPORTS AND THE FULL RECORDINGS OF TELEPHONE CONVERSATIONS WE HAD WITH YOU. IN THE MEANTIME, WE WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU TO CONTACT THE POLICE AND TELL THEM EXACTLY WHAT HAS HAPPENED. Never got any work from him. Wanted an email response that I confirm money was coming from me for "tax evasion purposes" A joke of a man.

During lockdown in 2020, a guy called Richard contacted me via [email protected] and pressured me to pay the 1000 pounds tuition fee without letting me see the tutors. All sounds too good to be true. Also asked my bank account detail including cvv. The telephone number is also shown as 02031294829. His Payment detail: Bank account: Account Number: 10206070 Sort Code: 23-69-72 Payee: Michael Hanson All the tricks are similar as shared by other students. Please be aware. They come from gumtree. I just realized they are scammer after I was pressed to pay more than I need. Another number he is using to call: 02031294849.

I was tricked into giving a code from my mobile which allowed him to post to craigslist. Currently posting multiple times craigslist advertising coursework etc. All same number.I have reported various times to craigslist under: london, UK >services >lessons & tutoring If you search for "coursework" you will see 20+ listings over the last month. I have tried to flag the posts for removal but no response. Have also reported matter to action fraud.

[email protected] 02031370285 They call back from unknown number. I too called from Gumtree to find a Tutor for SPSS help. I wanted a face to face as i wanted someone to teach me and got through it with me rather than just do it. The guy was insisted to do everything immediately over the phone. At first he charged me £700 and £400 for completion of my entire project. I said i don't need help with the entire project just SPSS and then he charged me £150 for 8 hours of tutoring. After i explained that i do know a little about SPSS and it wont take so long to get graphs and scree plot etc and i more needed to understand the behind the scenes work that the SPSS was doing and interpretation. He then told me i would meet with the tutor at imperial college in south kensington in the library! It was fine with me but i didnt have my credit card details so when i got home i researched him. and found this thread i emailed them back and said i would only pay in cash. He reduced the price to £85 and hung up after i said i will only pay the person in cash. in the email he wanted me to sign my name. Luckily i read thread this before sharing my bank details. So there you go now you all know his latest moves!

Asked for help and paid money for tutoring but got nothing back. Had a call on the day asking for more money and then threatened me with going to my university. I have contacted the fraud and police depts and have emailed him to tell him so! If anybody is blackmailed by him..ignore it...he is unable to do anything as it will only incriminate him further. The more people who report this evil fraud the better. Has anybody been actually able to get any money back from him? Can you contact his bank??

Sorry just to add to my previous comment as I have just finished corresponding with them, they will promise you their services (a tutor in my case), until day of the deadline where they will demand an additional £450 or else they threaten to tell your university.this is why it is important to keep ALL correspondance and RECORD your conversations with this crook (there are apps on the mobile which do this), and then forward these to the police. We are doing nothing wrong by asking for a tutor, they have nothing to stand on! As soon as I stated this he hang up which madee Laugh! If we all go to the police we Stop him

Asked for statistics tuition, found ad on gumtree and agree with everything said above. I booked 10 hours for 150 pounds and got promised sessions with a phd person to ASSIST me (not complete) my work. As soon as money was through, he told me the phD guy has to research himself on my work so needs 5 hours for that, and wil contact me once that's done. The guy is now ignoring all my calls when I ask where my work is. So annoyed I've been ripped off like this. Will be going to the police too, they give you their company registration number to look legit, but if you look closely the company is only a year old, and past companies (under the same name) , you can see that the company has been struck off. Got a call from this number, the person added me on skype asking to place an ad on gumtree for them. Very pushy and harassing, went through with it as far as I could just for fun.
