do not i repeat do not waste your time with this company. wasted 2 years off.my life chasing them up .telling them.what they were doing wrong .ended up closing it and got a refund of credit card .wouldn't surprise me that i may still have ppi.but im not going through all the stress again

I got a call from rock law back in March 15. Was told I was definitely owed ppi money, but would need to pay 495 in order for them to go ahead. Was a bit wary about paying but thought this was a legit business so paid up. After 6 months i hadn't heard anything so rang and was told to supply more info. Months went past and still no news and when I called in May was told it was only going to be another 6 weeks. Guess what, still nothing!!!!

i was stung against my very strong better judgement and parted with £495.00 to this firm and felt like a big fool ! I am filing a report to ombudsman to see if i can get somewhere. the rock law is firm of layers and crooks!

I am writing it down so I will never forget....I am an idiot. Will never ever be this daft again. Yes, I listened to the telephone blabber, did the online signing, then said I had doubts whereupon was told I would receive a call the next day. Wrongly believed this meant I still able to consider it. Minutes after the call went on Martin Lewis' s website and saw there was plenty of free info on how to do PPI claims yourself. IMMEDIATELY (within 10 mins of Rock Law's phone ambush, called my credit card company and had a block put on my account. At that moment no money had been taken. When I got my credit card statement, horrified to see it had...£495. Now trying to get it back through card company and reading today that Rock Law's down the drain. Where it should always remain.

I am so annoyed with myself for trusting this company. I received a call from rock law in June 2015 and was told i've got about £11K's worth of unclaimed PPI. I trusted them and signed the online agreement and paid £495 upfront as i was told i would be refunded if the claim came back for under this amount. I then chased them up each and every month since then to be told they are waiting for responses from my banks. I called the banks and they informed me they have not been contacted at all. I'm so disappointed and now don't know how to go about getting my £495 - it's not been 5 months and during this time other people i know who have started claims after me have now been paid out. Can anyone advise how I go about getting this money back?

I payed the £495 for PPI reserch last November that's, that's 10 months ago and still waiting for a conclusion, I have phoned them many times, they say the're still waiting to hear back from one of the banks.

My husband and I have received a call from Rock Law over a month ago. He then (without consulting it with me) agreed to pay the £495 upfront fee to get his PPI claim proceseised. After reading few negative comments online, we have decided to cancel the agreement the very same day my husband signed it. It then took us weeks to finally speak to their Accounts department to confirm we wanted to cancel the agreement (even though we have notified them via email on the same day he agreed to it). The whole experience of speaking to 10 different people and being given very very inconsistent information caused us a lot of stress and frustration. We have written a couple of formal complaints to them and one to Financial Ombudsman! And after over a month of waiting we have just received our money refund back! It was the most horrible experience we have ever had! PLEASE stay away from Rock Law.

I am extemely unhappy with this company i did not receive my £495 deposit which i was told that i would. i gained nothing from the small ppi payout instead it cost me money, time and alot of stress.

i set up a claim with rock law. luckily i didn't look a these comments first the service was good i did get money back i have recommended some of my colleges on they were fast and did all the work for me. It doesn't excuse all the calls i received which put me off at first but i suppose it worked as it did get me to claim

I gave these an 8 and not a 9 for a reason. Just this week I paid them £495 for a PPI claim. Then I did some research into Rock Law and felt totally sick. I've had an awful week feeling so stupid about this, nevermind the money I was convinced I'd lost. But they did ring me back later and I told them I wanted to cancel the contract. They kept asking me why and tried twice further to get me to reconsider. They even offered to half the money, but I refused. I wanted to cancel in my 14 days and made it 100% clear. The one that really annoyed me was when I first told them I wanted to cancel. At that time the £495 payment was sat on my credit card as a pending transaction. I was told by the first guy that the money would sit there unclaimed until any PPI claim was settled. Bit like a deposit you pay when you hire a car. Then the next day I noticed it had been taken from my card. I was livid! However this morning I was so relieved to see that I had actually got my money back. It was refunded by Rock Law and I will never EVER give my details like that to anyone again. What an idiot I was!!! Would I have got any PPI money back? Maybe, but the worry I've just had about being possibly ripped off just is not worth it, belive me. That's why I gave them an 8 and not a 9 because I did get my money back promptly.

Similar to everyone else, I recieved a call 2 days ago asking if I'd claimed PPI before which I hadnt. The gentleman took my details, asked if I'd had loans or credit cards in the past and who with. Not surprisingly, I was told I had a claim. He said someone else would call me back shortly to discuss how I could proceed. 2 days later (today), a woman known as Jade Jenkins called to explain how things work and that I could get around £5k back. After trying to baffle me with jargon she says to proceed, she would have to charge my credit card £495 but not to worry, I'd get it back when the claim came through... In her speal, she said several times that it was a no win, no fee agreement but then says I have to pay £495 up front because of the number of people who are successful but then don't pay them for their time. I thank the company for getting me interested in claiming PPI but I think I'll try it myself as opposed to giving my money away.

I received a call from rock law on 12th feb 15. It wasnt until the end of the conversation that they informed me i would need to pay £495 up front on my credit card and it would only cost me £6 a month interest. If the claim was unsuccesful then I would have a full refund after 6 months. Lucky alarm bells started ringing, I asked the lady to call me back the next day. I have googled and found all the comments giving the same account and will tell rock law i am not interested and to never call me again.

Halfway through the call I was asked to wrap tin foil round my head, which was somewhat amusing. At the end of the call when I queried some of their T&C's the Welsh prat said ****ing forget it, and promptly hung up. A result as far as I'm concerned.

This company operates a sophisticated sting making wild promisesof PPI refunds on the scantiest information given. AS soon as anyone today asks for immediate payment online or by telephone be prepared to write that money off. The one thing the company does not want to do is give its potential customers time to check it out - hence no delivery of email until they have you on the phone. The methodology should make anyone cautious. It's a scam and I regret that nice women in Wales feel the necessity to work with them as its on the border of illegality.

I had a phone call from Rock Law telling me that I was owed money back on PPI that I was paying on old loans etc etc. I asked them how they knew this (rock law) if they did not know who I am, the agent replied "well your on our system". I thought I would test the water and decided to go ahead. Once they took my £495 I was told that i would hear from ARB Advisory within 72 hrs advising me on claims, guess what! I heard nothing. After numerous phone calls to the guy that took my money and speaking to a door matt of an agent I had a call from the cancellations dept stating that I will recieve a full refund, guess what??? in the form of a freakin cheque!!! OK It was my fault for being caught of guard and what a d££k I feel, but please stay away from this company. They want your money and once they have it you will not hear from them, at least until your 14 day cancellation rights have expired. I saw the light and have contacted the financail ombusman. Forms are being sent and it's free to do it your self. The water I tested was too hot for me......Run a mile from Rock Law

I found out I had one of their most successful claims at around £45,000. To say I was happy with their service would be an understatement. Yes they ask for a refundable deposit as "Insurance" to insure the back end is paid and yes they take 36% including vat, but I have been speaking to many of people who have paid just 25% with no deposit ending up getting half of what I got... Even though they had a similar size mortgage with the same lender. Leave that thought in your head for a few minutes!

Received a call today from Rock Law LTD, alleged PPI recovery agents. They are very persistent about getting your details, e-mail address, confirm your home address etc, and tell you that they have identified you have a strong PPI claim they would like to represent you on claiming back.Problems arrise when you start to ask them questions like, "What company is my PPI claim against?", "Why do you want such details over the phone?","How is your company able to ensure that the Data Protection Act is met with information supplied over the phone?". On the first two questions, the young lady attempted to talk around the issues and direct the conversation back to gaining my details. On the third question, I was shocked when she replied, "If another party was to gain such information, there is nothing we could do about it and we would not be responsible". Obviously I declined to give her any details, and I would advise anyone else who may be contacted by this firm to do the same, as any above board buisiness would clearly answer any / all questions posed by a potential client. Stay well clear of this company.

Found rock law to be very helpful. £495 was held on my card as a refundable deposit for duration of the claim. Got me £6k back plus 8% interest per annum back on top of my money. I didn't even know I'd paid ppi. Excellent service and was happy to give them 30%. Recommend them to anyone.

Rock Law continually called me and when i eventually engaged with them they assured me that i could be owed circa £5k from two banks who allegedly carried out illegal insurance policies which i was unwittingly paying for via my monthly mortgage payments. They very skillfully tried to extract from me my credit card details through several lines of inquiry which basically was an attempt to extract £495 which they said was a means of confirming who i was and would form the basis of a legal contract whereby i engaged them to recover the monies owed to me by the banks? As well as the £495 payment on day one they would also retain 30% of any compensation paid by the banks. This whole process sounded very dodgy and when i quizzed the caller and challenged the legitimacy of their approach they were not very pleased and stated that no other legal firm could undertake the recovery of PPI claims, this is clearly not true. I politely declined the service which Rock Law were offering and terminated the conversation at this point, the Rock law caller was extremely unhappy. From the background noise it sounded like the caller from Rock Law was in the middle of an extremely noisy call centre rather than a calm and professional law firm. I would suggest that this company is not what they say they are and you would be better off using the services of the Citizens Advice Bureau or a local and reputable legal firm if you believe you genuinely are owed PPI compensation. If you sign over £495 to Rock Law I suspect that you would probably never hear anything from them again. If your sixth sense tells you its not right then step away.

Many calls made to me on a daily basis sometimes 6 a day despite me telling them on a number of times i was not interested.When i finally got the name of company and startedv to ask questions they hung up.I will be reporting them to ofcom and will seek compensation.
