I got a call from this number saying it was a text message from a delivery service. I pressed 1 and then it hung up. I checked my phone and there was no message. I think it's a scam.

GENUINE call, from a store advising me that "the item I ordered is now in the store and available for collection". This text-to-speech service is obviously used by many companies, therefore unfortunately it is going to be difficult to separate genuine callers from spam/sales calls.

They keep calling me but I don't pick up. First time an automated voice said that I had an SMS message but I didn't believe it, why would I, I've never had one before. Now I'm looking after grandchildren asleep in bed and the phone is still ringing. I'm getting angry now! Clearly a scam of some sort.

Calling me multiple times per day. No idea why. I'm TPS listed and never use the number they are calling on any correspondence. So, this is clearly a scam of some sort. Why Ofcom can't stop this kind of nuisance calling is a mystery to me. Ineffective regulation.

Lowells - notorious and shady debt collection agency you should on no account speak to by telephone, and if they call you, hang up. If you have a call blocker or a call filtering system (Truecall's a good one), then make sure these numbers are entered, and then they'll never get through to you. 01133086000 01133086147 07814050967 08448150652 07837638835 01133086999 01133086104 08442843421 01133086108 01133086003 01132856550 07891672094 01133086119 08450260093 08448444716 07900742233 07900742242 01153 308600 0845 309416 01153 308600 0844 8444716 01133 086 000 07837 649 560 07891 672 091 07837 641 866 07837 671 293 Also, this company is notoriously bad at dealing with general enquiries or complaints, so if you have such a complaint you do need to discuss with them, do it by email, and do it from a free hotmail account (NO WAY should you se your normal everyday email address). If you have to send them an email, then make sure every one of the addresses on the list below is copied in - they'll be much more inclined to pick your enquiry up and deal with it properly, especially if you don't buy their excuses, fob-offs and attempts to ignore your enquiry (all of which they will try to do, if there's no money in it for them!). Please note that these email addresses have been included SOLELY to help you reach them at your own convenience and on your own terms and not theirs - they are NOT here to be abused, ie. isnged up to religious sites, porn sites, book sites, etc. Plus, it really irritates them when they get more emails to trawl through than they need to - so that's a plus in itself. I was receiving calls from these idiots for a person who did not live at my address, I told them many times but they never listen. Now when they call I turn the Table on them by pretending I am a debt collector and I am calling them to recover a debt they owe, the response was hilarious. They have not called me anymore. This works with Indian Tele sales to, you just have to tell them you have an amazing offer for them but don't let them get a word in, keep telling them about your amazing offer and they will hang up and never call again.

From what I have seen on this site and others,it is just the number for a text messaging service. Unfortunately it is used by genuine companies, like water companies, and also by all sorts of scumbags as well. No way of knowing which it is as I'm not prepared to risk a scam pr pressing whatever number they tell me.

No name and when I called the company they said they had no record of the account no they had left in the message and no record of my phone no. The message was threatening and it took 20 rep,ays to work out their phone no. It is disgusting that they can leave this type of message .

I was called today by this company and found out who they were (on here). I promptly phoned their 0845 number and requested that they remove me from their database. I explained that I had caller preference and threatened to report them to Ofcom. The interesting thing is that they asked me if I knew a certain person (who they mentioned by name). This person was clearly the person they were chasing for the debt but I had never heard of her. They state on their website that they are they work ethically, honestly, and with transparency. That is clearly complete and utter bull. I was assured that they would take my number of their database (that remains to be seen). How ethical is it to mention a person with debt by name to a third party? It isn't. How transparent is it to call someone and not state who you are? It isn't. How honest is it to call people in the hoipe of entrapping them? It isn't.

Sky were of no help in barring this number, so I've had to tackle it myself. I made sure I was registered with the Telephone Preferential Service and then called Lowell on the number on the first page of their own website.. 0845 300 9410 I demanded my number was removed, made it quite clear I was registered with TPS and that I would take my complaint further if I received one more call from them.

These debt collecting agencies are often looking for a debtor and all they have to go on is a name. So they compile a list of people with the same name and harass them into giving enough personal info to cross them off their list. Report them to the ICO. Don't call them back or give them want they want because you'll just be helping them stay in business.

I ignore all calls coming into my landline number until the caller speaks. If no one speaks within a few seconds, I assume that I've been called by an autodialler which is activated by the sound of my voice, and because I've remained silent.... nothing happens, or I hang up. I then dial 1471 for the number and Google it. I never call any numbers they've left for me to call. If they are too lazy to make any effort to contact me themselves.... then their call can't be that important!

Seems like I'm the only person on here that actually does have a debt with these guys. They bought my debt from Vodafone after they defaulted on my contract but refused to release me from it, I told them to do one and took the credit rating hit. They do call at all hours but I can program my phone to ring silently for certain numbers, it took a while to get all their different numbers but now I don't hear a thing from them and in no time at all it will be wiped from my rating, Vodafone and Lowell can swivel, corporate scum.

I received a letter from this company requesting payment for a debt I do not have. Also enclosed was a copy of a letter from a different company. Lowell claim to have 'bought' the debt. I also had an automated message on my answerphone, requesting me to ring 01133086108. The number at the top of the letter is 08448444716. I've never heard of either company and certainly don't owe them any money. I intend writing to inform them of this and will see what happens. It has been helpful to read of other people's experiences. I just worry what is happening to my credit rating in the meantime.

Been at work all day but my daughter says the landline has been ringing all day long with dozens of calls she didn't answer. She did 1471, got the number, ran it online and it is said to be a debt collection agency. Well, I don't have any debts that need collecting, so whoever they are have absolutely no reason to ring. Clearly seriously dodgy.
