A concise factual assessment could not be completed here due to lack of verifiable, up to date sources accessible in this moment. The number appears to be a New Zealand (+649) line, but concrete ownership, risk signals, and exposure details require current web verification. 1. What the number appears to be: Based on the country code +64 and area code 9, it resembles a New Zealand landline or business number. Specific ownership or affiliation cannot be reliably determined without live lookups. The classification (mobile, landline, corporate, or premium) remains unclear from available information. 2. What people say online: Public discussions and scam report aggregators in New Zealand commonly host user contributed notes about unknown callers, but no definitive, trustworthy record for this exact number is verifiable here. Community driven sites often show mixed reports, which may include nuisance calls or legitimate inquiries. 3. Association with scams or unwanted calls: Without a confirmed entry from credible spam databases or police/scamwatch advisories specific to this number, a firm determination is not possible.NZ focused forums sometimes label unfamiliar NZ numbers as potential spam, but that does not prove malicious intent for this exact line. 4. Public exposure or leaks: There is no confirmed evidence in this session that this particular number appears in public directories, leaked datasets, or paste sites. However, NZ lookup sites and forums exist that index many numbers; absence here does not guarantee non exposure elsewhere. 5. Advisability to answer: Given the lack of verifiable, reliable data for this exact number, answering or returning a call cannot be recommended with high confidence. Caution is warranted until a trusted, current entry is found. Note: If reliable sources become available, a precise, cited update can be provided.

Seems to be tied to GLIMP.co.nz and Slingshot. Will avoid both at all costs now. Cold Calls are unacceptable advertising in 2023.

Ugh, can you believe this? I just wanted to do a simple signup on Glimp to check out some broadband deals for someone else, and it turned into an absolute nightmare! I mean, seriously, what's wrong with these companies? I've been bombarded with continuous calls from Slingshot ever since I signed up. I tried explaining to them that the deals weren't for me, but they just wouldn't listen. They had the audacity to ask me for contact details of other people! Like, seriously, who does that? I couldn't take it anymore, so I had to block their number. I mean, this whole experience has been beyond frustrating. All I wanted to do was help someone out, and it turned into a never-ending hassle. It's just unbelievable! ?

I used their website as a tool to see if I could get cheaper internet. I put my details in, as I didn’t mind receiving a phone call if there were better deals. I went into the site and I found that I’m on the best plan. I was emailed twice, so blocked that. Then a phone call, and I told her I didn’t need anything and I’d found I was okay with my plan. Since then I have had almost daily calls. I’ve blocked them but it’s getting absolutely insane. Read the room!
