What is the Robinson List?

The Lista Robinson is a free marketing opt-out service run by Adigital (Asociación Española de Economía Digital). Any resident can register to stop unsolicited commercial contact by phone, post, email, and SMS from companies with whom they have no contract.

It sits alongside the GDPR and Spain's LOPDGDD. Companies running direct marketing must consult the list and respect registered users' choices.

How to register

  1. Go to listarobinson.es in your browser.
  2. Create an account with your National ID (DNI/NIE) and contact details.
  3. Choose the channels you want to protect: phone, postal mail, email, and/or SMS.
  4. Add the phone numbers you want on the list (you can add several).
  5. Confirm your registration via the verification email.

Registration is completely free, and you can change or withdraw your preferences at any time.

What does it cover?

Unsolicited sales calls

Companies you have no contract with that obtained your number from public directories or bought marketing lists.

Email and SMS ads

Newsletters, offers, and promotions from businesses you never gave clear consent to contact you.

Junk postal advertising

Brochures and sales letters sent to your home without consent.

What it does not cover

Scams and vishing

Criminals do not check the Robinson List. Vishing, spoofed caller ID, and fraud calls are unaffected.

Companies you already agreed with

If your contract or terms allow marketing (mobile carrier, bank, etc.), they may still call until you revoke consent directly with that company.

Law-breaking callers

Some businesses ignore the list, especially offshore operations. You can file complaints with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

How long until it works?

Registration is not instant. Companies must refresh against the list periodically; the process can take up to two months from signup, and you may still receive sales calls meanwhile.

Even after you appear on the list, firms that already stored your number may need time to update their databases — it is gradual, not a single switch.

How NoCall complements the Robinson List

The Robinson List is an important legal tool but has clear limits. NoCall fills the gaps it cannot cover:
