Harassing calls are defined by their persistence: repeated calls at any hour, instant hang-ups, silence, or intimidating messages. Unlike commercial spam, the aim is not to sell but to disturb, frighten or control, and it can amount to a criminal offence of coercion or harassment under Spanish law. The advice is not to engage with the caller, block the number on your phone, and keep a record of dates, times and screenshots. If the calls continue or include threats, report them to the police with all the evidence you have gathered.
