The number appears in public lookup databases as a U.S. telephone number, with varied results across reverse lookup and caller identification services. No single authoritative attribution is confirmed here; reports are inconsistent and may reflect generic spam sounding classifications. 1. Likely type/ownership: Appears to be a standard U.S. mobile/landline number; ownership and exact entity are not reliably confirmed across sources. 2. Online discussions: Several reverse lookup and spam report platforms show mixed or inconclusive information; some users flag potential telemarketing or scam associations, others show no notable activity. 3. Spam/scam risk: Some reports and tools classify it as potentially suspicious or typical of telemarketing, but no definitive, uniform fraud claim across all sources. 4. Public exposure: The number is present in multiple public facing lookup databases, suggesting it is exposed to the public; exact leakage or breach status is not evident from the sources. 5. Advice on answering: Given mixed signals and potential spam indicators, answering or returning the call is not strongly advisable without verification from trusted channels.

I've been fielding calls from this number for the past three weeks. My caller ID shows "Publications". The male caller asks for the owner. When I ask what the call is in regards to, he says it's about our "business relationship with the University of Maryland," however, he won't be more specific. I asked if he knew what we did for said university. He took a stab at "their recreation facility." Swears he's not trying to sell anything.

We work with the federal government and this guy claimed he was calling from Us Army Corps of Engineer. Caller ID said Department. Guy said his name was Nick Veroni and he knew we did a couple of projects for them and wanted to speak with the owner. I said "I need more details on what you are calling about for context. A potential project?" and he just said "I am just calling to speak with the owner. and I said "sir, I need more than that. I have a lot of telemarketers who call and lie saying their calling from the government so why are you calling? And he just said "I don't want to waste your time. I'll just put it in an email."

Called and said his name was Mike from American University and asked for our owner, who gets tons of telemarketing calls. I recognized the "American University" story - it's always advertising that they're selling. Told him we weren't buying any ads, and he kept asking for the owner.

Claimed to be Kevin from the Enlisted Association of the National Guard. When I called back I got a generic "we can't come to the phone, leave a message". Looked up that organization and that isn't their number. Showed up on my caller ID as "Department"

Will call and ask for the owner every time and say he's with the University of Arkansas and he has 'opportunities' at the U of A. He gets quite rude when you ask him what the call regards. They really should shut him down.

This guy calls from 202-769-5246 (Washington, DC) and left a voicemail. Says his name is Mitch Rizzotti and he's calling regarding the Port of Virginia. Asks me to call him back at 480-658-1734 (Arizona). Not many people have my cell #. Just google his name and he shows up on other reverse lookup sites as a salesman.

Did not give a name and asked for the owner of our company. Didn't say what company they were with.

They call frequently from this number or another and portray themselves as being from a Government agency that we work with while leaving this number for call back. Usually they're trying to sell advertising in a publication. I wish someone would shut them down.

Called as asked if we had a location nearby, and then asked for the VP of sales.

Ryan Shaw said he was calling from the Ames Research Center. Left this number: 202-769-5246 When I called it back the recorded message was very vague. It said "Thank you for calling please leave your name number and brief message" The recording didn't say Ames Research Center or Ryan Shaw which made me wonder and google the number. Weird gut feeling.

David Jordon with the Army Corps of Engineers wanting to speak with the owner.Sounded legit, but, something was off. We normally know the people calling from the Corps, and they would call the owner through his direct line, not through me. I don't trust the caller.

Caller asked to speak with VP about opportunity. I said that any requests have to be sent through me. Male caller was extremely rude and asked "why". I said that's the way it is and they hung up on me. I called the number back and was funneled to someone who told me that I can asked to be added to the Do Not Call List, which I did. I'm sure I'll hear from him again since I have taken his calls about once a week for a year.

Asked for the owner of our company who lives out of the country. Was very brusk and wouldn't give me information about why she was calling, just asked me to relay a message. The caller ID was private, but the number she gave me was 202-769-5246.

This number calls our office at least 2-3 times a day.Sometimes the caller ID will come up as anonymous, but the caller is the same. It started off with the man saying he was from Ohio State Uni. and then he said he was from Georgetown. After a while I started to recognize the voice and phone #. Always calls asking for the two owners and will never provide a phone number or email when asked. Will cut the conversation short and hang up. I've begun to not answer when the # calls.

Sketchy call when asked for his number and where he was calling from. His name was Mike from the VA. I had to ask several times for a call back number and he finally gave this one. When I call it it is a call center for a publication company.

Represented himself as associated with Army Corp of Engineers on voice mail. Really trying to sell (maybe) advertising in USA Today special section aimed at the Army Corp of Engineers - could be true but not interested and his voice mail was misleading

Kelly Campbell. Notorious advertising sales rep, purports to work from a government agency like the National Park Service. Easy to google her. Also calls from 212-920-3945.
