I called the number back and they said that they were Godaddy but that I would be asked for my pin number and/or last 8 digits of my credit card. Godaddy would never ask you for your pin. And no one asks for the last 8 digits of a credit card unless they are a scammer.

multiple calls from this number each day, never leaves a VM. I am a GoDaddy customer and after reading the comments from others, I have blocked this number and am now curious how they know I am a GD customer.

Scam and not godaddy. Said he was calling from godaddy.com. listed the domains I own. Said they were unsecured and that he could guarantee if I sign up with their website builder my site would be secured and I'd start getting more leads. I strung him a long for a bit and ultimately he said if I signed up today then he could undercut my existing service and provide secure website for only $300 if I did it today.... I requested email and it said from godaddy guides jonathan pabon. Included links to GoDaddy that misdirected. Total scam.

This was a courtesy call from Godaddy.com. They have every right to call, of course, since we have a business relationship and especially since I own a business (businesses are not allowed to have private website info). The surprising part was that they were quite helpful and provided quite a bit of information. They never once asked for personal info so most likely not a scam.

I have been working for the company for 6 years and often get asked about why the outbound number is different from the number on the front of the site. That is because they are for different departments. If we are automatically assigned out we can discuss certain details with the account owner, but to speak with other people not listed or provide financial information we need to validate who we are speaking to. If you manually call in, or we manually call you back at request, the Pin number must be provided to enter the account on our end. If you are ever in doubt of who you are talking to, simply ask us to send you an email from our official godaddy addresses, or call in and verify that you were speaking with a representative.

This number has called twice this morning and I have not answered because I did not recognize the number. They did not leave a message either time. After reading the comments on this site, I for sure will not be picking it up if they call again.

others have said this is a GoDaddy number but it's new to my system and my call spam filter chucked it to the curb. rep did not announce his firm/name or any information and did not leave a call... if it IS GoDaddy they are making a mistake...i will not answer this type of call.

Claimed they were calling regarding a "security breach" that I emailed them about. I did no such thing. If they were Godaddy then they were contacting me under a false pretense.

This is a scam. If you use godaddy and do not pay to have your information hidden you get tons of calls from scammers like this looking for additional information as anyone can access your name, email, and phone number you registered with. DO NOT GIVE THEM INFO

I am a current godaddy customer soon to be cancelling their services. If this was from them, why did the name only show up as the number and why did they not leave a message? I will be informing godaddy of this issue as a security concern of my personal information and this site's reports. Thanks for the heads up!

Claims to be godaddy and when I asked how I am supposed to know they're really GoDaddy, the response was "Our number is only two digits different". Go to our website and call that one if you like. So I did, and I spoke to a support rep @ godaddy, and they said they have no records of calling me. Their system keeps track of that kind of thing too. Godaddy's phone system will recognize your phone number if its associated with your account. Totally different than this fake numbers automated phone system prompts. The number that called me 4805058859 is NOT GoDaddy , DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR PIN or any Credit card info I really want to know how they got my number and how they know I use godaddy.

I checked directly with Godaddy and asked if this is one one there #s and they said said NO! If it was them they would leave a message. It is a telemarketer getting your info from whois and contacting you trying to seem as they are associated with godaddy but they are NOT!! They use this # too 480-463-8350. You can chat with godaddy if you are in doubt and they will clarify it for you too. Use caution if you deal with this company!!

I AM NOT A GODADDY employee ......... I do know this is legit however. I just bought a service from them last week. They were calling to make sure I was doing ok with it, and then did try to upsell me, but all companies do that! I appreciated the courtesy call.

Called a few times and leaves no message. I answered it twice and no response - just silence. It corresponded with me updating some services on Godaddy, but if the above employee comment is correct, then why don't they leave a message if it's legitimate business?

This is GoDaddys number. I have different websites that they monitor. They're good people. I suppose every now and then, a phone number gets misdialled. Don't get mad. We're humans, and we have all misdialled a phone number ourselves. It happens.

I've been a GoDaddy customer for years. They have the best customer service of any company I deal with. This was a legitimate call. I have a domain expiring and I hadn't responded to their email notice. They are a first-rate operation. Plus, they have kept their call center in the U.S.

Have gotten two calls this week from this number. I've had an account with GoDaddy for many, many years, and they don't operate like this. They have my e-mail address so there is no need for an automated call. Further, I always get an e-mail confirmation for purchase of domain services and domain status changes. I strongly suspect these calls are backdoor maneuvers by debt collectors.

GoDaddy wanted to link my existing GoDaddy hosting with my domain name expiry. Yes, it was a call to drum up business but frankly, it was beneficial for me to accept their offer. They don't ask for you whole credit card number just pin or last 8 digits of your number to prove identity. I did get 3 minutes of silence on my voice mail but called them based on the info here and knowing I had a GoDaddy account.
