AI Analysis

Limited information: Multiple reports indicate scam activities, primarily involving fake sweepstakes and prize winnings requiring a fee or specific actions. However, the diversity of claims (e.g., Vacation Village, Naval Air Show, state fairs) suggests either a broad scam operation or multiple unrelated scams. No clear pattern of malicious intent beyond typical scam tactics is immediately evident from the provided comments, but the sheer number of scam reports warrants caution.

Likely purpose: Scam: Likely for financial gain through fake prizes or services, requiring victims to pay fees or provide information.

SCAM - said I'd won $200 from Naval Air Show lottery.

Got called three times within three days on very specific times. "Tia" said I had won a $200.00 Visa card with a three night complimentary stay at Vacation Village at Williamsburg. The website seems real and demonstrates a 3-star hotel. She mentioned I had to pick the exact dates from here until October and transferred me to a "manager" who also explained that I would need to put on hold $99.00, but did not ask for CC information. They didn't even seem desperate to take any further info either. Only when "I was ready". What got me is that they had real information that I did provide in an outdoor BBQ Event in DC, a few weeks ago.

Called to say I won at a food truck festival from 6 months ago, 7% of the people win but I had to have a significant other on the line and put down a 99$ fee to hold my spot, then hung up on me when I said that wouldn't work. Called 5 times

Called to tell me that I had won a sweepstakes I entered at the Virginia Harvest Fair. I attended that event roughly 7 months prior to receiving this phone call. Told me that I had won a choice of prizes and a paid vacation, but I must have my significant other on the phone with me to receive it
