AI Analysis
Limited information: The number +18003957363, registered in the United States, has been reported for suspicious activities. Two distinct reports highlight potential scamming tactics. One involves a scammer posing as 'Max' from the 'Home Depot Credit Center,' attempting to trick the recipient into sharing a one-time passcode. The other reports robocalls pretending to be from government, businesses, or family/friends in Marblehead, Massachusetts. Home Depot's official response confirms their policy against requesting passcodes via call or text, validating the scam suspicion in one case. However, the diversity of complaints (scam and robocall) suggests either multiple uses of the number or misattribution in reporting. Given the clear scam evidence in one report but less clarity on the others, caution is advised.
Likely purpose: Likely used for scams (especially financial phishing) and robocalls without a clearly unified purpose due to the variety of reports.

2The number shows it is a valid number but was likely faked. Received call from a "Max" from the "Home Depot Credit Center" Department. Max said he was calling to verify a purchase attempt made by someone named "Randy Johnson", who claimed to be associated with our company and tried to make a $2,230 purchase using our account information. Secretary told him he was not an authorized person on the account. As a result, Max "opened an investigation" into the matter, and secretary confirmed that they did not approve the purchase, instructing Max to deny the transaction. He gave that he has an extension 104. Max talked with me and sent an email for a one time pass code to my email via the home depot system and he asked for the code. The Email clearly states: "We will never call or text you to request this code." he asked for the code multiple times to Verify my account. I told him no and he was a scammer. No calls back. This was a scammer!! I later Sent txt support message from official Home Depot site and got this AI response: "I'm really sorry to hear that you experienced this. It sounds like a very stressful situation, and you did exactly the right thing by not sharing the code and recognizing it as a scam. The Home Depot will never call or text you to ask for a one-time passcode. If you receive a call like that again, please do not share any information and hang up."
