I made a rather large purchase on eBay. Moments later I received a text and phone call. They wanted to know if I had just used my card. I said yes. They didn't ask for anything else. The voice software couldn't pronounce my name worth a damn though.

Legit call from my credit union for card fraud. Although I did not trust when i called the number due to the sound of the automated system, i called the credit union on another number and it was in fact legit. Card was closed due to fraud after verifying information about the charge.

Fraud center calling on behalf of my credit union to determine if 4 recent charges to my card were legitimate or not. Asked me to verify name and zip code of card billing address. Also checked with my credit union and they said this was a valid number.

While I was out pumping gas, my husband received a call (800-417-4592 caller ID reflects "Armstrong Bank") at home to confirm if I just had purchased gas twice. After pumping the gas, I noticed that my receipt was for an amount less than what I actually pumped. I went inside and asked for my receipt and asked him why the receipt was for the wrong amount. He said he did not know. I specifically asked the clerk fi they had any problems with credit card skimmers being placed on the gas pump and he replied “Yes, but a long time ago.” I then asked him “How long ago?” and he replied “8 months ago”. I stated that that was pretty recent. I was not satisfied with his reply and and I went back the next day and he told me that the problem was fixed. I proceeded to ask him when was the problem fixed and he said “yesterday”. I was upset…because I was there yesterday! I told him why did you tell me when I was here yesterday. He was probably in on the scam. I will file a police report.

Fraud Text & Call from 800-417-4592 Its LEGIT Call! text came first 1am, Zendesk attempt on card, $1.00. Text asked me to reply with NO if fraud or YES if valid. I did not reply. Then at 8:04 am got CALL from same no., I did not answer. Called my bank and they verified the 800-417-4592 as legit fraud protection no. Zendesk put $1.00 back themselves, their name has been used before at fraud and phishing attempts, they seem to be legit and are fighting bad guys themselves. Since I did not respond right away to text or call, when 2 more attempts to use card came this morn. (paypal $50 & wpsinglemuslim $36) my bank froze card. They said I should get New Card & I ordered it but now I will have no usable card for week or so. Apparently many companies use this co. & number for fraud Protection. I don't know if it's real or not, but I'm leaning towards real. I had fraud charges on my acct, and then an email from my bank.. but the bank email address was odd looking and it went straight in my junk mail box. However, the charge amounts the email listed were correct. The email wanted me to click a link, and call this number. That number isn't anywhere on my bank site, so I just dealt with the bank directly myself. It could be legit, but if it is, they need to work on making their emails not look like scams.
