12Called pretending to be WFB Mortgage provider
They are pretending to be Wells Fargo and asking about credit card details, and other personal info, saying they need to confirm rectify an account issue. But they just trying to steal from you.
Dropped call or no message received in New Braunfels, Texas.
Someone from this number keeps calling my daughter every couple of days saying that she is overdue on her credit card. I think she may have missed one payment, but has a new job now. I don't think Wells Fargo would be pressuring her so much for such a small amount. So this time I decided to talk to them. The guy had a foreign accent, so I think he is from Pakistan, India or Canada. When I said "I was her mother and what's going on?" he hung up on me. If he was legit, he would have said "I am sorry, I can only speak with her". This is an identity thief preying on people who miss one payment. He is phishing to see if you bank with Wells Fargo, and getting as much personal information as possible. He wants her to give her credit card info over the phone, so he can steal her identity and rack up a huge debt on my daughter! I hate these creeps! I am going to advise my daughter to go in person to Wells Fargo to make the payment.
Scam telephone number, in sketchy setup. DO NOT CALL THEM BACK. They are not the real Wells Fargo. Only use the number you receive on your mortgage payments.
They are dropping off cards at you house to call immediately the 800 number it's a scam
I've been getting repeated robocalls from this number. Since I had a Wells Fargo mortgage, it showed up on my phone as "Wells Fargo". It is NOT Wells Fargo. I called my mortgage broker and he said there is NO WAY Wells Fargo would be doing this. They are phishing for passwords and account numbers. Block this number immediately. They have a fake website up that looks like Wells Fargo, in the event you look up "Norma" from "California".
This number has been calling my house every day, they hang up after four rings, or if I do answer, there is no one on the other end.
Its a Scam from a company that goes after people if they have missed a payment or the owner of the property has died. Dont deal with them at all ...call Wells Fargo directly!
This number claims to be Wells Fargo calling because your mortgage payment is late, but they called me over and over when mine wasn't late trying to collect payment. Be cautious giving them payment info.
they say they belong to the wells fargo bank but i suggest that they are scammers. it smells like credit card fraud!
just that they have well fargo in their caller id doesnt mean anything! dont fall for that! this is scam! they offer you loan or whatever and in the end you lose lots of money or at least they sell your private information!
