Public listings vary, and reports suggest nuisance calls or scams in user generated entries. 1. What it appears to be: toll free number in the 833 prefix, commonly used by debt collectors or financial services, but no definitive owner identified across sources. 2. What people say online: mixed, with several community reported entries labeling it as an untrustworthy or annoying call; some sources show minimal details or unknown caller status. 3. Association with fraud/telemarketing: multiple reports and listings imply potential spam/telemarketing or debt collection behavior; not conclusively proven in every listing, but several indications exist. 4. Public exposure/leak status: appears in public facing scam/spam directories and caller lookup sites; not clearly shown as leaked from breaches, but present in public databases and user reports. 5. Advisability to answer: riskier; callers have been described as untrustworthy or nuisance, so answering or calling back is not recommended.

6I was unable to hear the caller, but had decided to call back to find out what the situation is. The system said I had a medical debt, sounds plausible enough, I know I've dealt with these people before. Then it offered to send a link to pay by phone. I accepted. The text was from a different number, (657) 467-4348, and immediately got flagged as spam. I got a little suspicious, but the automated line sounded exactly like CMRE's so I figured I'd unflag it and try the link. Browser blocks it immediately, and says it's an unsecured connection and may be trying to steal your info. Noped right out of the whole ordeal. The real CMRE can contact me another way if it's actually them.
Keep getting calls from them.

Keep getting calls from this number over and over and over. They need to go take a seat at this point… I’m not answering. I don’t even answer for my friends, bub. Sorry bout it. Pretty sure it’s under the guise of “debt collection” or something but I honestly don’t think it’s legit. Just be careful.
I've missed some of these calls to my mobile. But it seems they want to do recollection of any debt i owe.
