This is a legit number. Typically for your local communications regarding city, county, school, etc. alerts. Usually one has to sign up for this IVR call system by providing this number to your school system for instance.

Called three times so far in two days. First was at 11:23 pm (!) and left a message about a missing child. The last two calls were hang-ups. The hang-ups are proof alone of the spammy nature of the calls, for if they were legit there would be a message left at each call.

Supposed to be emergency alerts for local community, instead I get a call (in addition to a text) for an AMBER alert happening 3 states away, and then another call (in addition to a text) cancelling the AMBER alert an hour later, and now I just read that the AMBER alert turned out to be a total hoax - some lady whose car was stolen reported her 12-year-old son was in it so the cops would pay attention, when he was at home the whole time. I'm blocking this number as first of all I don't need to be woke up for AMBER alerts three states away from my location and second, I think of "emergency" like a flood or something, not a hoax call to police.

Received a call at 14:57 EDT; left a message regarding "code red alerts" from the National Weather Service for Roseau County, MN. I used to live there so it seems legit. It gave me instructions to update or drop my enrollment through Roseau County's website.

This call came in at 11:25pm on a Wednesday. When I tried to verify the number it ranged from a place in Kansas? (this is Florida) to not having any listing what so ever to it MAYBE BEING THE REAL DEAL. how can you be sure of anything now a days. I'll wait a bit more to see if they call again, in which case I will answer it and possibly be warned of an upcoming snow storm.

This is a legitimate number. The city I live in uses them for emergency notifications. Usually you have to sign up to receive these calls (I did but I had forgotten, until someone mentioned "Code Red" in an earlier post). If you are receiving calls you probably provided your number to your city (e.g. through the city portal) for emergency notifications.

Strange and obvious robo call. Recorded message said several large sinkholes had opened up in the area overnight and for homeowners to check for cracks in their walls and floors. If any are found, to call 911 and to evacuate their residence.

My problem with this number is IF the pd here is using it, they are alerting for an address 5 years ago a ways from me.it's a robocall autodialer & never right for my part of town. There doesn't seem to be anyone to call or email to update the numbers called.

Our county is using this to notify residents in the event of hazards or emergencies in the area. Very annoying as they did initial setup last Wednesday -- ringing without message, multiple calls to each number. Once set up, I think it will give a recorded message if answered live or voice mail -- also says it will play recent alerts if the number is called by a registered number in the county. Must be a central call number for multiple agencies using this service.
