AI Analysis

Limited information: This US number has been reported for suspicious activities, including pretending to be a BECU agent and robocalls. Two distinct complaint patterns emerged from user comments: (1) suspicious account verification requests (asking for a middle initial, which the actual BECU does not typically ask for) and (2) robocalls pretending to be from government, businesses, or family/friends. Despite only two reports, the nature of the complaints (scam attempts) and the consistency in the type of scam (impersonation) suggest malicious intent. External community sources list this number with scam warnings.

Likely purpose: Scam/Phishing, specifically impersonating legitimate entities (BECU, government, businesses, family/friends) for potentially financial gain or personal data theft.

Caller identified as a BECU agent, and caller ID showed the number above and BECU as the contact. Caller asked my middle initial as account verification, at this point I was suspicious because BECU has never asked me that question. I asked the caller to provide a return number and extension and he provided the caller ID number. He seemed exasperated at the fact that I wanted to call back. After reviewing the number on google (results came back as a scam warning) and confirming with BECU that they did not call, I am 100% sure this is a scam call.
